The sims 1 legacy collection Lag

I bought the legacy collection when it came out and ive had this annoying issue where the game lags heavily. specially when there are more then 3 or 4 sims. community lots barely run because of this. i tried to repair and reinstall as well as close any application. I also tried to launch the game windowed but it still lags which honestly makes no sense my pc is hugely above what the sims 1 requires.
