The Sims 2 Legacy - Sims Not Getting Pregnant After Trying For A Baby!

I'm about 5 hours into my current Sims 2 Legacy save in Veronaville! 

I have tried getting my sim pregnant at least 20 times or more and its still not working! I've tried resetting the 2 sims in my household, I've moved them out of the house and moved them back in, clearing the game cache, I've tried different beds, tried for a baby in a hot tub a few times, used the Story Progression mod to set pregnancies to 100% chance and still nothing! They're not far into the Adult life stage either so its not because of their age!

*EDIT* So the save ended up being corrupted! I went back to the Ultimate Collection to try for a baby just to check and one thing I noticed is the 'woohoo' cutscene only happened once whereas in the Legacy edition, every time my sims woohooed or tried for a baby, it would do the cutscene and I wonder if that's why it failed every time?!
