I'm having the same issue. I am on an i9-14900K, 4090, 64 GB RAM. Sims 1 loaded up right away, though a bit small (and square shaped) but I haven't gone INTO the gameplay to fix it since the Sims 2 was giving me problems. Pressing "Play" makes my screen zoomed in with gigantic icons (like when loading old resolution games), does nothing in Task Manager and just hangs until I force close it. I saw someone post a fix but I did not buy the RE-RELEASE just to have to do workarounds. Chat support has no solution.
