@musicvibezz Please go to Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection\ and delete Groups.cache and Accessory.cache files, then try launching the game.
Let me know if that fixes it.
@ja420 , currently there are issues with the EA App itself. Keep an eye on the banner or check the link shown. You may just have to wait it out until EA sorts the technical side out.
Was there anything else I can try?
I tried running as command center, deleting the Accessary and Group cache, and running as administrator but it doesn’t launch. I was playing Sims 2 Ultimate yesterday night and had no issues. However, this morning neither Sims 2 or EA is launching. I click and there be the loading circle but nothing happens. I clicked on other apps and the launch immediately.

Right after I downloaded a free app removal EA resolved itself. So I guess EA was just down since I didn’t get a chance go try out the app removal. Thanks for the suggestion it makes more sense now.
@Tremayne4260 I wanted to put this out there in case someone missed it.
I found this by accident on Answer HQ a short while ago, EA Cade had posted it back in January [Workaround] Running The Sims 2 on Modern PCs - Answer HQ (ea.com)
I tried the steps outlined in this post, and it worked! I got the Sims2 to run again. Can't wait to play again. It's been forever. Thanks to you for all of your help, and a very special thanks to EA Cade. I hope that this news helps others.
