A little bit about me: I'm not really a game player but I do LOVE to build and have been creating since Sims 2 came out. I mostly built for myself (back in the day), then started joining building contests and challenges in the old Sims 3 community forums, which then led to me becoming a member of the DNA request team and started creating for others for six years. I have been participating in several world collaborations most recently and it's been a lot of fun. I've learned a lot about building in these past 10-12 years and have improved quite a bit since those early days. I'm a stickler for details and aim for realistic interiors in my creations. Most of my builds contain store content, but are CC free and I always upgrade all the plumping/electronics.
Here's a collaboration I did with @soocoolsim for the Cape Albacore Collab. Soocoolsim created the building shells and I did the landscaping and I did all of the interior decor.

Dolphin Cottages is a small community of homes for Cape Albacore with lots of amenities for residents. Besides the community buildings on the lot, there are four separate cottage homes with fenced-in yards.
Amenities on the property include an indoor pool with restrooms, a game room, a laundry room, a gym, a party room, a library with computers, a movie theater, a playground, a soccer field and community gardens.
Cottages: Two homes are completely furnished and ready for your sim(s) to move in. The choices are a 2 bedroom/2 bath or a 1 bedroom/1-½ bath. (See the notes section below regarding move-in.)
The other two homes are currently set up to house a total of four NPCs, with one of the NPC homes designed like a small apartment building consisting of three homes accessed through a community foyer.
Or there’s always the option of designing your own space by modifying one of the NPC homes. You’ll just need to remove the hidden room markers from whichever one you’re going to modify.
*Whichever home you select for your sim(s), you’ll probably want to set it as the front door and to lock it to just your sims (you’ll do this in buy/build mode by doing a ‘shift+click’ on the door and select ‘lock’, etc). For the furnished home you don’t choose to live in, you’ll want to place hidden room markers (found in buydebug) in all the rooms and ‘shift+click’ on the front door to make it an NPC door and it will serve as another NPC home.
*Since there are hidden markers on the lot, this restricts you from making changes to areas within the lot. But if you’d like to add/delete windows, move/add plants, etc or delete/recolor items, you will need to type ‘testingcheatsenabled true’ in cheat box, then ‘RestrictBuildBuyinBuildings off’ to allow you to make changes to the lot.
*As usual, all the plumbing and TV’s/computers are upgraded.
CAPE ALBACORE WORLD COLLABORATION BUILDS, Sep 2023 - Feb 2024
A community build project hosted by soocoolsim , Hidehi2 and myself. It's a lovely and serene coastal town inspired by Cape Cod, Nantucket Island and Martha's Vineyard in the United States. World built by Hidehi and builds done by the community. This post features the builds that I contributed to this project.

A small community of homes with lots of amenities for residents. Includes an indoor pool, game room, laundry room, gym, party room, library with computers, a movie theater, playground, soccer field and a community garden. Choose to live in one of two furnished homes, rest are NPC homes. Shells and landscaping done by soocoolsim , interiors by myself.
Get married under the gazebo in the day or at night, and you'll be sure to have the perfect photographs with the beautiful ocean or starlit skies as your backdrop. You can even customize your wedding colors. Covered reception area with buffet food, chocolate tasting, drinks and dancing. You can also visit the Arboretum to hunt for fairies or just take a tour.
A simple beach house for one of the beaches in Cape Albacore. Perfect for a single sim or a couple. Has 1 bedroom and 1-1/2 baths, separate living room, dining room and kitchen, a laundry room, bbq grill, outdoor dining, lounge chairs and a fire pit.
A roller coaster park with lots of fun activities for the whole family, including a carousel, rock climbing walls, a playground, a lighthouse and much more.
A great secluded beach home for a family who loves the water. Built for Cape Albacore at 10 Skipjack Tuna Trail. Features a great room with a fireplace nd awesome ocean views, 4 bedrooms, 4 baths, laundry, loft area, balconies, bike shed and a large deck with a fishing pier and a boat dock with two boats. Primary bedroom on main floor and a teen girl room, boys' room and a girl nursery upstairs.
A cozy little two-story house for the beach area and just steps to the water. Features 2 bedrooms, 2 baths, an open concept main living area, a half bath, laundry area, and a loft space, all decorated in bluish greenish colors throughout. Take in the peaceful views of the bay while relaxing on the deck spaces. Includes two bikes and a horseshoe pit.
Hungry for seafood? Then this is the place to eat to experience all of our shellfish creations. Grab a quick bite at the front counter or have a seat in the dining room and order from our chef's menu. Feast your eyes on our giant aquarium, the ocean wall mural and the fabulous views from inside the restaurant and outdoors on our two patio decks.
The Oyster Pearl Poolside Club is the happenin’ place in Cape Albacore where you can dance, eat, drink and swim until the wee hours of the morning. There are two hot tubs and two pools for you to enjoy, featuring a swim-up bar, a diving board, a slide and a waterfall. Dance to your heart’s content on one of the two dance floors, each with cool lighting and special effects. Hang out in multiple seating areas – dining tables, lounge chairs, private cabanas, or the rooftop deck where you can sit by the fire or use the self-service bars. Other features include a bubble bar, a photo booth, a few arcade games, popcorn machine and stereo speakers mounted throughout. For your convenience, showers are provided in the restrooms. All plumbing is upgraded.
Charming historical boutique hotel built for your simmies to enjoy. Basement resort towers and 9 private guest rooms, each uniquely decorated in period-style furnishings, plus patios, bar, buffet restaurant, library, fitness center, pool, hot tub and horseshoes. Inspiration for this hotel came from several different real hotels located on Nantucket Island in Massachusetts. :) AND, yay Me....I only used 2 items from the store, a very rare thing in my builds, haha!
This family home has 4 bedrooms (primary, nursery, boy and teen girl), 3 full baths, 2 half baths (one in garage), small office, butler's pantry with wine storage, laundry/mud room, large 2-car garage, open concept on main floor, a family room on 2nd floor that's open to the below floor, pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen and play area.
Not your typical looking disco, but this is what I would imagine one to look like in a coastal town setting. This small town disco club is just the place for party goers to escape to for dancing, drinking or playing games. You’ll most likely be greeted by a bouncer at the door at this two level establishment located on The Strand in Cape Albacore. There are two professional bars, two self-service beer kegs, billiards, darts, arcade games, a bubble bar, a dance floor with special effects and public restrooms. When the weather is nice, sims can head to the outdoor patio and grab some beer, play some music or sit around the fire pit. Free parking and bike racks available for your convenience. Plumbing is upgraded.
This charming family home sits near the main lighthouse in Cape Albacore. It features 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms plus a powder room, an open concept main living space, a fireplace, a screened-in porch, a game room, a mudroom and a cozy den on the 3rd level. Sims will enjoy spending time outside in the beautiful backyard with all the flowers, a green house, a covered gazebo to paint in and a children’s play area. There are also multiple balconies to take in the beautiful scenery. Everything is upgraded. (Note: this house contains quite a bit of store content, including the SwiftGro Gardening Station.)
Running low on gas? Need some food for your tummy? If so, stop by our downtown location for a pit stop to ‘fill-er up’. Besides car service, you can order food from the counter to eat in or grab some snacks or drinks from our vending machines and snack counter. The popcorn machine is always filled up with freshly popped popcorn! Feel free to play a tune on the jukebox or browse our books and supplies. Visit our service garage to practice your car fixer upper skills. And if the mood strikes, you can also do some dumpster diving (no judging!). Public restrooms are conveniently located outside. Plumbing is upgraded.
Red Lantern Lookout was an old lighthouse that had a small one-story home attached that was in disrepair and had only one bedroom. The property was recently purchased and has undergone a massive renovation with a second story added on and updated with a modernized style.
The lighthouse section now contains family spaces, which consists of the dining room on the main floor, a reading nook on the 2nd floor and an art studio on the top floor. The top deck of the lighthouse boasts magnificent views and includes a telescope.
On the main floor, you’re welcomed to a spacious sitting room that’s open to the kitchen and family room, with great views of the water. Also on this floor is the dining room (in the lighthouse), a kitchen pantry and a powder room.
The new 2nd floor features a reading nook (in the lighthouse), the primary en-suite bedroom, two children’s bedrooms (one for a boy and one for a girl) with a jack and jill bathroom, and a laundry room.
This property is a fisherman’s paradise. Besides fishing, the new boat dock contains various watercrafts and a pier for lounging. Also outdoors, you’ll find a fire pit, a swing set, an outdoor shower, a fish cleaning station and two bicycles. The old, detached workshop has been converted to a home gym and entertainment space. Everything is upgraded.
FYI—You'll need to have the Sky High Roller Coaster set installed for it look right, as I used the coaster supports on my lighthouse.
This charming two-story 2 bedroom/1 and half bath home is my first contribution to the Cape Albacore collaboration. It’s located at the end of a quiet street and overlooks the ocean. It features a primary bedroom, a guest bedroom, a bonus room furnished as an art studio (but can easily be converted to a bedroom), a usable window seat at the top of the stair landing, a laundry room, a pool, an outdoor shower, a patio deck with outdoor dining and BBQ, a garden area, and a detached one-car garage. Everything is upgraded. Enjoy those views!!!

Cassidy loves her family and is passionate about cooking and baking (which she learned from her Grandma). She is an avid reader and enjoys being outdoors with nature. She is also eco-friendly so she believes in recycling and riding her bike everywhere. Her favs are the color red, cobbler and pop music. She's an Aquarius and her LTW is Culinary Librarian. Kenyon Reardon couldn't make up his mind about what career path he wanted to take and finally decided to become a professional author. He's really smart and loves to cook and read, is a bit neurotic and is happiest being indoors. His favorite color is green and loves to eat spaghetti while listening to classical music. 💔 Just had to pay tribute to some of my Sims that are no longer with us. These were created in my early days and were quite challenging for me to create. These were actually requests during my time I participated in the DNA Request Team. 💔

ACKNEY-UPON-SHERNE CREATORS' COLLABORATION, Aug 2021 - Mar 2022
A community project with themed builds for a traditional English village, hosted by suzses . The make-believe named English village world is a modified version of EA's Riverview and was tweaked and edited by Hidehi to create the English landscape. This post features the builds that I contributed to this project. In case you missed the forum post about Ackney-upon-Sherne, here is the link again.

A cozy 2-story storybook style cottage overlooking the river in Ackney-Upon-Sherne English Village. Features 2 beds, 2 and one-half baths, a laundry room, a formal living room, and a family room that's open to the kitchen/dining area. There's a detached one-car garage, along with a pool with a rock fountain and a play area.
This 17th century English mansion features Jacobean architecture, 24 rooms (incl. 6 bedrooms, 6 full baths & 2 half baths), numerous fireplaces and furnished with antique furniture.
The main floor consists of a kitchen, formal dining room, formal living room, family room/game room, study, powder room, pantry, laundry room and 2 staircases.
Upstairs you'll find all the bedrooms - each with a fireplace and it's own private bath, another powder room, an art studio and 2 staircases to the 3rd floor.
On the 3rd floor are the butler's quarters, a home gym and a music room (and even room for expansion if you so desire to add on other rooms.)
The landscaped grounds boast a gated entrance, lush gardens, fruit trees, a 3-car carport, pool, hot tub, outdoor kitchen, ponds & a playhouse. Everything is upgraded, no cc or cap.
Water's Edge is a totally remodeled older stone home that sits between two lakes, so you'll be spending lots of time outdoors taking in the beautiful lake views. It boasts 4 bedrooms, 2 and one-half baths, two living areas, a den, a laundry room, a patio, a deck, fruit trees, potted garden plants and a trampoline for the kiddies.
Escape the stresses of everyday life and visit our full service day spa for complete rejuvenation. We have saunas, hot tubs, a cold plunge pool, massage tables, foot massage chairs, tanning booths, a full bar and much more.
Red Cedars is a 5 bed/5 bath house inspired by the Arts Crafts movement of the late 19th Century. Built for 5 Bealdor Close for the Ackney-upon-Sherne Creators Collaboration. Rooms include a kitchen and breakfast nook open to the family room, formal DR and LR, play room, den, game room, laundry room, garage, 4 stall horse barn, pond and pasture, garden, covered hot tub, play area and patio space.
Quaint cottage on the corner with an open floor plan on main floor, fireplace, laundry room, 1/2 bath and a screened-in porch. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom. Off the enclosed porch is a small patio with bbq and a few potted vegetable plants.
Small English fire station inspired by a real fire house in Burford, England. Includes lots of activities for the firemen to do in their down time when not fighting fires.
Thistledo ("this 'll do" -- get it? lol) is a family sized cottage nestled on a busy corner of the High Street area of the make-believe Ackney-upon-Sherne English Village. Features 4 bedrooms, 2-1/2 baths, formal living room, music room, family room, den, large eat-in kitchen, laundry, 4 fireplaces, a small backyard and driveway with parking spot. Located at 10 High Street.
Small neighborhood park for the Ackney-upon-Sherne English Village. Located at one end of the island portion of this world, this quiet park overlooks the Sherne River and has bbq's, picnic tables, an easel, a playground and restroom facilities.
This English style cottage was created for the Ackney-upon-Sherne Country Village Collaboration, 17 Town Walk. It's perfect for a family with 2 small children with 2 bedrooms and 1-1/2 baths. It's made to look like there was an addition added off the kitchen with a laundry room and a sitting area. Side yard has a swing set, outdoor dining, bbq and a small garden.
Quaint cottage for the Ackney-upon-Sherne English Village Collaboration for 35 Town Walk. Features 3 bedrooms (master, nursery and a boys' bdrm), 2-1/2 baths, 2 fireplaces, a den, kitchen with baker's station and laundry room. The small backyard has a play area, a patio with a bbq grill and pizza oven and some potted garden plants.
Need a makeover, tattoo, a massage or a spray tan? Come visit the Black Rose and you can get all of these services under one roof. Styling Salon and Tattoo Shop are located downstairs, while the tanning booths, massage rooms and restrooms are located upstairs.
Inspired by the home that was featured in the movie "The Holiday", this cozy two-story English cottage has 2 bdrms, 1-1/2 baths, a den, laundry space and 3 fireplaces. The interiors have a cozy, lived-in look with an eclectic decor style and was based off of pictures taken from the movie. (This was my very first contribution to this project and I really enjoyed researching the photos from this movie so I could create a sim version. It happens to be one of my favorite movies and I've seen it multiple times. 😀
New owners spruced up the interior of this farmhouse, but haven't had the opportunity to replace the dilapidated barn or tend to the overgrown property. This two-story home has 4 bedrooms (primary, boy, girl and nursery), 2 baths, powder room, a laundry room and a wraparound porch. Outdoors is a cornfield, a garden, a pond and room for that new barn. Perhaps you know of any sim families who would like to take on this property and build a new barn? No CC or CAP.
Inspiration for this build came from my tv.....it was a Dish Network Dishscapes scene, and I thought, hmmmm, I could build that in Sims 3, lol).
(FYI: My Sims 3 UIC (upload image exchange) program didn't update my cover photo on the Exchange, hence the interior photos as the cover rather than the below picture....UGH, hate when that happens!😬)
Wonderful new build Sandraelle ! The farmhouse is very charming and great work on the roofing. I love all the decor and terrain elements of the excellent landscaping. Will the new owners tear down that old barn or will it become the backdrop for a chilling story or two. Love it, well done! ⭐️

Dolphin Cottages is a very lovely collaboration between you both! @Sandraelle and @soocoolsim :) The design and layout are very great! It is a very detailed and lovely community. Very lovely furnishing of each of the homes and the community buildings.
