@emorrill Hey Em sorry I didn't get to comment sooner. Maureen has epic punctual skills arriving just on time. She looks so pretty in her beret and patterned jacket. I'm laughing at Alan's sarcasm haha. He probably left out the part of Maureen being a woman for a good reason, although she was bound to find out anyway. I wish there was a picture of Alan giving Natalie a noogie as that sounds adorable! Wow that is a very pretty Christmas tree. Aw I can see that Maureen and Jennifer are going to get along really well. I know it's technically two different outfits but I love the continuity of Alan's coat and his shirt with the tie underneath it. It's sweet that she gave Jennifer the choice to read the card or not. Reading the words sort of brings a person back to life so it can be very upsetting or wonderful depending on the situation. Ahhh finally a memory of Stanley mentioning Maureen. I love the "I told you so" smirks that Maureen is shooting Alan with. Oh wow I wasn't expecting the story to get so heavy all of a sudden, poor Stanley. Maureen must be enjoying Alan being so clueless for once. Oh wait hold on a second Alan just because a part of the puzzle seems to be solved doesn't answer all the questions. It would have been rude to kick her out in the cold without dinner too. Maureen and Jennifer make a great team
I just adore Alan's family. They seem very much like a real family. I wonder why Jennifer and Stanley had a falling out in the first place. I feel sorry for her that she never got to make it up to him. That sort of regret never goes away. Gee it's lucky that she remembered those journals before the house was sold. I fully empathise with Natalie not wanting to do the dishes  I enjoyed their conversation by the car because the distance between them got closer and closer until they are basically flirting in the end. It might have been awkward to hug him now but next time they meet she should do it. After all, Alan realises that his relationship with Maureen is different from any other girl he knows. She makes him smile and laugh as well as feel frustrated and annoyed. Now that he knows that she's not going away any time soon hopefully feelings of affection start to take hold of him
Um yummmm! We don't celebrate Thanksgiving but that spread sounds amazing. Y'know I actually tried Pumpkin Pie for the first time this October (courtesy of Costco) and.... I honestly expected it to taste better than it was. I definitely love pecan, chocolate, blueberry and apple pies though. Sweet potato pie sounds interesting. It's a good thing that Davie isn't as afraid of spiders. Blsdjfljsldafjl I would be freaking out about the mention of black widows. You're giving me the shivers even just describing him squishing them. I can't even think of spiders without getting goosebumps. At least the box of journals was found fairly easily. I think Maureen's hair looks fine by the way. It looks like she's just brushed it after a wash and it's "floofed" up a bit. I just had to look up what the word tryptophan means lol. Her enthusiasm is infectious. Oooooh a locked box sounds mysterious. Hmm okay it definitely sounds like this key that Maureen used to wear was important. Aha! So that's the key that you asked Emily on her cc thread to fix up for you. I gotta know what's inside that box!!
