Chapter 4.3 Childhood's End / The Dreaming
About one year later
Before I continue with my own story, will just mention a bit of gossip from my girlfriend’s households.
After finding out that her husband Mario have been in bed with Jenny Bridge (Marylin’s Aunt) Emilia’s mother divorced her father. The couple still lived in the same house, but that should only be a matter of time. Mario also dated Marylin (the aunt and the niece those families are nuts).
Emilia’s brother Matt, seemingly had dropped Marylin, in any case he was now with Eva Blund, whom I also knew well, she was my superior at the military.
Marylin, still on a dangerous high roll, was dating the young Jimmy Queensland while also kissing with Emilia’s father Mario. Confused? I was, very hard not to say something “wrong” as everyone was involved with somebody from each other’s family, half of it secrets you should not talk too much about.
We continued to hang out at David’s café, to have fun and chat, more or less on a daily basis

As a contrast to the chaos in my girlfriend’s households, there was almost perfect harmony in my home, mother and daddy very happy with their life and the love they shared. Me, deeply in love with Gregg, having a fantastic time, I had never felt better.

Suddenly Gregg got a breakthrough in his endeavour to become a professional athlete, he was contacted by the local pro cycling team “Coloquick” and was signed on a two years contract, off course as a water carrier but at least he was racing on a level that gave some income. (**)

Mother released her 2nd book in the “Pictures of a City” series. “Dream Flesh & Perfumed Skin”, A Critic wrote:
Joblin-Fripp is back with her 2nd Crime Novel in the Pictures of a City series. This time our nameless reporter gets caught up with several prostitutes found dead in the same dark alley. All with a nylon stocking over the head and suffering knife wounds all over the body. Can’t say much more without saying to much, just that this is just as good as the preceding novel, if not better. The 533 pages kept me from sleeping until the last page
The 3rd novel from mother ranked as bestseller at the united publishers list of important books.

Mom and Dad had 10 years wedding anniversary late autumn, but due to mother going on a promotional tour in relation to the new book, they held it about a month later just as the first snow started falling. Rahan have made a habit out of begging at everyone passing our house, with many dog owners there is always a chance.
