Chapter 4.4 Childhood's End / The Dreaming
After the release of “Dream Flesh & Perfumed Skin” mother was caught by a writer's block, not able to produce anything useful, she attempted to pass it over by doing a lot of house keeping and reading a lot of other author work.
One day mother and I took time out for a long day in town, we were at clothing stores, hairdresser and had a nice lunch. both coming home with a brand-new look.
As oppose to mother, daddy was very productive in this period, painting a lot as he was getting ready for a big spring auction he and David had planned. Although his painting of me, you see at the picture, would not be for sale, at least not for a while.
Sundays was the only day of the week, both Gregg and I had a day of. That was our special day and we always spend it together, quite a lot of it in bed. We were so young and could not get enough of each other.
One day Robert invited us to take a walk up to David’s Café, but that was actually not what he had in mind. He stopped at the empty lot across from the Café and said: “Mother and I of course want you to be happy and maybe also have us some grandchildren. Mother have bought this lot so that one day in the future you can get a home of your own. No pressure surely, I know the money you make will not make it easy to run your own household. I’m just saying we will no everything to help you get started when the time comes. "Thanks" i said, a bit surprised with this sudden move from them.
Later that day I took a long ride on my motorcycle, thinking about what I wanted with my life. If I let myself get a child, I might stay around this town all my life, maybe not that bad, but I was not sure.
After some thinking I accepted the fact that I might start a family, sooner or later just not now. (**)

(**) from here, every time she is in bed with Gregg (or for that sake someone else), there will be a 10% chance to get pregnant, so that I can’t control when if or how many children she will get. The options will be open up to her 40 years birthday. (Yes, I know but have to set a deadline).
