Thanks originalsim, I had this copied on my comp.
PICTURES FRAMED
Just so you know for the future you can have any painting in the house you like normal, still-life or whatever but DO NOT frame canvas. I had this problem too with my contest entry for Brainybee's build Bridgeport contest, I spent ages doing custom paintings for that one and as soon as I uploaded it I lost all the artwork apart from the three that were not framed. So I had to get my sim painting again and I did not frame any the second time and they all uploaded ok with the lot.
How Do I Place Sim-Painted Art on a Community Lot?
LoveEvil
helped me solve the problem where art painted by a sim and placed on a
community lot would disappear when exported from the game. To solve this
problem, place the painted artwork in your sim's personal inventory.
Save your game with a new save name so you don't mess up your current
game. Go to Edit Town mode, click on the community lots, and click on
the first button in the pop-up window to change the lot type. Change it
to Residential. (WARNING: This will remove certain Community-only items
from the lot. You can replace them later.) Move your sim into the lot.
Go back into live mode and move the paintings from your sim's inventory
(using the drag hand) to the wall where you would like it to hang. If
you would like to name the painting, do so now using the sim that
painted it. DO NOT FRAME THE PAINTING. (Framed paintings will be removed
from a lot when it is exported.) If needed, go to Buy Mode and move the
painting around, drag it up and down the wall, etc. Once all artwork
has been arranged as you would like, save the game and switch back to
Edit Town mode. Click on the lot and EVICT your sim without the house so
that you now have an empty residential lot. Click the Return to Game
button so that your sim will be removed from temporary storage and
artwork can no longer be returned to their inventory. Switch back to
Edit Town mode and change the lot type to Community - Visitors Allowed.
Edit the lot to add any community items that might have disappeared.
Save and export!
