I've just looked it up. To be completely honest, I agree with you. I think he was a person in a very powerful position and people are going to say things. The stuff that he has apologised for... Well that's the thing. He has apologised. No one can change their past and he's obviously been careful about things since. Either way, the things he did in the 70's were not of a violent nature. I will forever believe that he was a gentle and humble soul. It is very ignorant to look at it in a black and white view. You weren't there, you don't know the circumstances. Let it go. As in other people, not you haaha. XD
Besides, yes, Bowie made some mistakes. But the people saying that his legacy should not be as celebrated because of it, I don't understand. He saved so many lives just by being the person he wanted to be, let alone what he did with his music.
