Witch's Lair

This is very loosely based on Marie Laveau, the Voodoo Queen of New Orleans. It's a blend of the real person, who was a well-liked, influential hairdresser to the upper-crust ladies of the town and the song by Bobby Bare. Marie really did have a husband named Jacques Paris, a carpenter, who mysteriously disappeared, and she did claim she was a widow. However, the lot itself is based more on the Bobby Bare song about Marie Laveau, which is the version of Marie Laveau I grew up with.
