I love how music can transport you and bring memories back, and it’s great to hear you got the positive lift from listening to those old Christmas songs you grew up with. <3 YouTube has been one of my go-to’s for music as well. It’s fun to watch old videos I haven’t seen since MTV days.
I’m glad I understood your intent correctly. It can be easy to forget that recovery isn’t strictly linear or necessarily complete, and I think you’re showing that well in Mary’s journey. She has a lot of pain to work through, and healing is an ongoing process. Just like in RL, there are times when things are going well, and yet you still can be caught by surprise with feelings of sadness and loss. I’m enjoying seeing Mary make good progress overall despite those emotional setbacks, and hope that eventually her sorrows will be fewer and her joys many. :)
Jamie was probably thrilled to learn he has a fan club and was happy to show off! ;) As a character he certainly is compelling; sensitive but bold, uncompromising but compassionate. Definitely the daring type anyway!
Ooh, temps in the 40’s? I’ll trade you! :p I’m in WI, and 40° sounds positively balmy right now!
It was! It’s funny how music reminds you of things long forgotten.
I wore mostly band t-shirts in high school, along with ripped/faded jeans with spandex underneath, and either a leather jacket or a denim one with rolled up sleeves and tons of those pin-back buttons. And all that Aquanet in my big hair. :joy: Now it’s braids or ponytails, t-shirts, hoodies and leggings or scrubs. These days I’m all about comfort, ease of movement and warmth!
Update incoming? Looking forward to it!
