Poor Bekka! That kind of tragedy at a young age must have been so difficult. I’m glad her godparents were able to step in as guardians, but the loss has obviously affected her deeply. I know Jamie will tread carefully with her though. He's a good'un.
Interesting about Bekka sensing that Jamie is a healer. It does make me wonder if he is a supernatural and what type it might be, or if he simply has a strongly developed sense of empathy and a healing touch. Some people definitely have that energy about them. It would be cool if Jamie did inherit some occult powers from an ancestor though. Imagine skeptical Damien being best friends with a supernatural all this time! :lol:
What a great backstory for Jamie! I could totally envision a teenage Jamie chatting up an old ghost and digging for buried treasure with his best friend. It was nice to see how he got his start in helping spirits move on, and how his experience with Merv ignited the passion in him to discover more about the occult world and led to his choice of career. Although it was sad Merv didn’t know where his family was, it was kind of him to gift the boys his hidden savings before moving on, where it could do some good. :)
The story of Damien and his lost wallet! :lol: And then pretending to search for it later just to make Mary laugh. <3 And I just love Mary’s line about Damien bringing her back to life even though she is still a ghost. I love that whole section actually.
How cute of Damien to suggest they keep walking so he can get her away from the crowd and maybe even get that real first kiss... and Mary’s all like, nah, you’re taking me to that movie you promised and buying me popcorn and raisins! :joy: Good movie pick, Mary! I’d rather watch the sci-fi flick too. :p I love the poses, especially the one where they’re arm in arm. :love:
And it’s over already? :o That went by far too quickly. I thoroughly enjoyed it though, and am looking forward to the next update! :smiley:
