lanlynk I'm glad you enjoyed the videos. Thanks for your comments here.
I rarely play in Appaloosa Plains = that's why I chose it for their new main world.
While I had members of the household in Mountain Lakes (in earlier episodes) I allowed Denise to gain some riding skill. I think that was from reading skill books. I intend to have her explore the world on horseback. I'm still working out the logistics of getting her a horse. I think I recall the household purchasing another lot in that world and plan to bulldoze the house on it and turn it into a horse paddock with a barn for two horses. I have a few horses somewhere. If I can't find them to add to this game, I'll have to make some more. She'll be aging up to young adult soon, so I'll probably have to do it in one of the next 2 or 3 episodes. I'm not playing at the moment. I'm trying to get organised for painting the watercolour of the swan I'm planning to do soon.
I don't tell any of the household members to attend the various birthday parties. I just let them wander in and as a result not everyone makes it on time. I have a mod that would allow everyone at each party to get a piece of cake and used it a few times, but it is too time consuming, and I have to be very quick to tell the sim to serve everyone cake before they autonomously take their own piece of cake. Therefore I've decided it's beyond the limit of my patience to use it when there are so many sims to have cake. And I don't have enough space at the table for them all. As a result I always have most of them missing out on cake. Sometimes I add food to the buffet table for them but usually forget to do that. When I do manage to do it most of them ignore it so that's part of the reason, I don't usually bother to do it. When most of them have moved out and parties are smaller I might try that mod again.
I saw people on the forum talking about the recent Sims 3 update. I think it was for the new App that people have to use instead of Origin. I don't have it as I didn't put Origin on this computer when I set it up way back in 2017. I think a lot of people were having problems with that App so EA probably just fixed a few of the bugs in it. Nothing has been done to the game since it ended and Sims 4 was released; other than, I believe, they made a version for the Mac.
I hardly ever get onto this forum now. I usually can't log in. I do the logging in bit, but it tells me I can't log in right now and to try again later. I just had 3 goes at it this morning and failed each time, then I clicked on it again and I was in, so I thought I'd better reply to you right now as I don't know when I'll be able to get in again.
I'm glad you enjoyed that ship. It's hard to find, even when you sort of know where it is. From map view it's almost impossible to see. It's a very small island. I like to add unexpected things into my videos when I come across them.
I tried changing those 'basketball' courts behind the new set of houses I placed the latest group of young adults into. But I wasn't able to do it. After Don returned home, I thought I should have just bulldozed the lot and then build a little park for them, with at least one basketball hoop.
It'll be a while before I get to work on the next episode as I'm struggling with my new lifestyle and going to the gym 4 days a week is taking a bit of adjusting for me. But I'm seeing results. I'm feeling a lot healthier and am much stronger now and I'm trimming down so I see new clothes in my not too distant future. I won't get many new things as I have a few dress sizes to trim down to. I'm sure I'll get myself organised soon and start working on more videos.
Happy Simming
