San Marina (WIP)

Hello, everyone. After a very long absence, I've returned to TS3. I had to take a break, due to both technical issues with my game and real life. Right now, I'm in the process of trying to push out a world I had trouble with back in 2020 called Pottersville. As I work on that, I'm also working on San Marina, an open world that's like my take on Starlight Shores mixed in with open world games like Saints Row and GTA:

    Hello, everyone! San Marina has finally been released. 

    Keep in mind that this is an exceedingly large world (212 lots) and heavily populated. I've been able to run it smoothly on an AMD Ryzen 5 4500 + AMD Radeon 6400 + SSD + 8GB machine with reasonable loading and saving times (under a minute). On my main machine, I have all EPs except Supernatural and Into the Future installed. 

    On a different machine with older hardware (Nvidia 1030 GT +HDD + AMD Athlon II x 4 CPU) it runs well but save and loading times are a bit longer. I can't tell if it's because of just the older hardware or the fact that on that machine, I have Supernatural and Into the Future, but bear that in mind if your setup is similar to this one. 

    I can't make any guarantees for super long-running saves. I currently am on week six and have turned off all the settings for Story Progression except for Celebrities, and my saves are okay so far. I can't make any promises for any players that have maxed out Story Progression settings with all EPs installed.

      WOW!!! thesims1depot , what an impressive world!!! 😍
      I've had a quick look around San Marina but there is so much to see that it'll take a quite while to fully explore the sights and population.

    @Damienf519 Thanks, Damien...Hopefully, I'll release it over the summer. It depends on how soon I can finally get my other WIP, Pottersville, out. In any event, I'll post more updates in the future.

    If anyone is interested, yes, I've been working on this world the entire time. I thought it would be released in Summer 2023, but then things kind of got away from me because of real life. It will definitely be released this year. Below are some pics:

    I would really, really, really like to use the "Seeing Stars" collection from the store for this, but seeing as not everyone has store items, I might do two versions of this world, a vanilla version and one with "star" sims wearing these items. I guess we'll see.
