I finally got my first video of the new year done. It's Oscar's Childhood Part 13

Meet a few of Mike's relatives and neighbours in Lucky Palms and Dark Harbor in this episode. There are a few interesting things going on around town. Next episode will continue meeting a few more of the relevant sims living in Dark Harbor and Lucky Palms before Elouise returns to Chocolate Cake Island and Oscar begins life at boarding school.

It's delay is mostly due to some complications that have arisen while making this episode of Oscar's Childhood.
I started showing some of the families in Lucky Palms. The Sims I've added to the game. Remember the screenshot I posted a few days ago -

Well, that's Tom. And for Episode 14 of Oscar's Childhood I want to go into more depth on Tom's life (or more likely, do a separate side video on Tom as a child) and where he fits into the scheme of things. He was born in game. He is the youngest child of Patience and Ted.

The little girl is Tom's older sister, Toni. This is an old screen shot. No time to go and find Ted to get a current picture of him.
If you are familiar with my stories and games, you might remember me talking about Patience and Ted having twin girls and one got killed by a meteor.
Well, in the game I just opened, Tammi is a ghost and her gravestone is in their back garden and it shows death by meteor on it.
Her twin has already aged up to Teen in that save but Tammi is still a child ghost.
This game is significant for me because it is the game that gave me the idea of putting the wishing well indoors. This was because Patience made Ambrosia to resurrect Tammi, but someone else in the household ate it and it was mid Winter and it was too cold to fish for death fish. I sent her several times but she couldn't stay there. I really wanted Tammi back in the family and back then I had never heard of mods, I wasn't even on the forums. And the expansions were still being released. The only way I could resurrect her was by Ambrosia or getting an opportunity to do so.
Once I put the wishing well indoors the problem was solved. She had plenty of life fruit.
Just making the Ambrosia wasn't enough - because Tammi wouldn't eat it. Finally, after many sim weeks she did eat it but I didn't get any pictures.
I'm sort of hoping to repeat the process now I've found this game and get it on video and include it in the next chapter of Oscar's childhood.
Mostly I was looking for video of Tom and Craig playing as they are close in age. Craig is the youngest child of Patience and his father is Christopher Steel. You will know him if you've been watching my videos. But you won't know Tom because I've been ignoring Tom.
Tom was living with Olwyn Murray. She is a sim I made years ago for a household of 8 YA's. That was because I stopped playing families for a couple of years due to issues with family trees breaking. Now I play families all the time because I have mods and family trees no longer break.
Tom and Olwyn were moved in together by the game when I was playing in Legacy Island III. I was ignoring both of them.
Olwyn had a heap of skills as her household had been skilled up by me in that old game and I'd kept her in my library since them with all of her skills. She was probably a long way through her YA stage at the time and Tom would have just aged up from teen when the game moved them in together.
At one point I went around Legacy Island III and used Master Controller to add instant babies to a few households. I added one to Tom and Olwyn's household. I think they pretty much ignored him and so did I until I sent him to boarding school at Chocolate Cake Island. Then when he graduated I sent him home and aged him up to child and decided it was probably time for Tom and Olwyn to get married.
When I looked at Tom's relationships I discovered he had a love interest living in Dark harbor. (world by Rflong7) Also it is the world in which the McFluff Story, Generation 1 are currently living.
Donna Harmon was also born in game.

Unlike Tom's tumultuous childhood, Donna was born into a family where the parents stayed happily married and had 5 children together and had no interest in anyone else other than their own little family.

Donna's father is a Superstar Athlete. They are another old family - probably from 2009 or 2010. I added them to my Big Game when the children were still children and teens and they all went to boarding school which is where Tom must have met Donna. I've assumed they were High School Sweethearts and tried to get Tom to send her a break up text. He couldn't do that. So tried to get him to call her. Another fail. So I sent him to Dark Harbor and went to check on some other households. I got a shock to see the game announce Tom and Donna had decided to marry. I went back to their house and yep - they were married. I had a bit of a panic and then decided to go with it. They had a baby and then she got pregnant again and I sent Tom home to Lucky Palms as I still needed to fix the game there and get Elouise back to Chocolate Cake Island. I dropped Tom off at his old address with Olwyn and Ephrahim and continued playing with Mike's family until there was a newspaper announcement that Tom and Olwyn were married. How can that be? I continues with making the video. Then I went to see what was going on. Sure enough, Tom and Olwyn were married and Tom and Donna were acquaintances. But Donna had two babies and Tom was the father. :s

I noticed Olwyn has a lifetime wish that required her to get to level 3 visa in all 3 WA worlds. I decided to send Tom, Olwyn and Ephrahim to China. Since all the tombs have already been completed it took no time for Olwyn to get to level 3 visa in China. While there I was thinking about what to do about Donna.
Decided to send Tom to Dark Harbor. On arrival Donna was still his acquaintance but so was Olwyn. There seems to be a bit of an issue with traveling. Don't want to destroy the Travel DB in the game though so will have to live with it.
I got some video of Donna and Tom and Donna's family. Found Donna's brother is engaged to one of Mark Hansen's sisters. Mark is Mike's father in Lucky Palms. All of Mark's full siblings live in Dark Harbor along with their parents, Marty and Marcie. Since I talk about them a lot I got some screen shots and video.

Neither of them has completed their lifetime wish, but they've been busy. Marty has 10 children - 5 with Patience and then 5 with Marcie after he divorced Patience and married Marcie after Patience ran off with Gobias Koffi. (Marty is Haley's father.)

I loved the look of the toddlers Donna and Tom have made and decided they need to stay together. Invented a bit of a back story and got Donna's father to have a few harsh words with Tom and Tom proposed marriage to Donna. She accepted. That's pretty much where this episode of Oscar's Childhood ends.
Next issue will be the wedding and sending Tom back to Lucky Palms. I'm thinking about how I can handle this. That's why I opened the old game. Tom's childhood was complicated with his mother and all of her shenanigans with her habit of serial monogamy. And then there is Tom's half-sister Haley.

She's not quite got the right idea when it comes to what is generally accepted as usual family life.
Donna's background is totally not anything like Tom's. This is a worry for Donna's parents but since she's already married to Tom and they have babies together they've decided to go with it and be ready for disaster to strike.
Olwyn has no family to fall back on.

EDIT: I forgot to post the family tree from an old game I found. It is from when Tom was a child. I'll have to do a video that includes a few scenes from this lot. To give more background to the story.
It took me a while to set it up. I had been trying to get the badge for a sim having 15 children. Patience did it - but no badge. I later discovered the sim with all the children has to stay in the same house throughout and I had her moving around. I have managed to get the badge, but with a male sim.
