I've been working on Episode 24 of this series. Oscar is currently in the boarding school in Moonfall Island. This is another beautiful world made by @Rflong7.
I noticed a couple (or more) sims appear to have vanished from the world. I use NRAAS Story Progression and it regularly cleans out homeless sims and I've seen notices advising that large numbers of sims have been run out of town on occasion. So I'm wondering if they have been deleted.
In one household there is a single child. His parents and siblings have vanished. They are not in the world and they are not in his relationships panel but they are all in his family tree. This is a family I have played extensively in the past and I want them in the world.
I am also missing three of my mermaids from the Colourful Mermaids household. Harry Genie, Belinda Bombay and Julia Ericksen. I'm wondering if the mermaids might be out in another world as tourists.
Currently I've stopped work on my video to do a census of the sims I have living in the various worlds in this game. I've found one tourist so have made a note of him - but he isn't one that I've already flagged as being missing from his home world. His name is Dave Webb.
The thing is though, there are a lot more worlds in this game than I thought. Here's a list of the worlds that have nhd files in my save game.
Barnacle Bay; Cake Island; Cake Island II; Chocolate Cake Island; Cotes d'Ambonnay; Dark Harbor; Dragon Valley; Erewhon; Grey Meadow Island; Hidden Springs; Isle of Sims III; Legacy Island III; Lucky Palms; Moonfall Island; Moonlight Falls; Norbrewych; Sunlit Tides
I happen to know that of that list, Dragon Valley, Cake Island II and Legacy island III are empty. Meaning no sims of mine living there. Sometimes I use townies that I find in the world - particularly if they have started a relationship with some of my own sims. Mostly I have a group of my own sims from my library that I add to worlds. They are usually sims I've played previously in old games and have kept in my library just in case I want them in future. I know these sims and most of the versions I use of them are well played with skills and families.
A few of the worlds are overpopulated so I'll be moving a few sims from them to other worlds. Worlds I know are over populated include Sunlit Tides and Barnacle Bay. I will be moving sims from those worlds to other worlds. When I do this move of sims I could include any played townies so townies that may have originated in any world could find themselves living elsewhere. Occasionally I will capture a role sim and add them to the played population. This doesn't happen often.
The reason Dragon Valley is empty is I sent Patience and her family to live in Dragon Valley in the early stages of my Big Game. Several of her children married sims from Dragon Valley. When I moved Patience and her family to Dragon Valley I took some other sims from Sunset Valley with them and there has been some inter marriage between them too. So when I found Dragon Valley was unplayable due to some of the things I'd done to it, I moved all of the sims out of it. Now some of the original residents of Dragon Valley have died of old age and others have large families within the Big Game so I don't want to grab a new, populated version of that world for my Big Game. Since the world is sitting there empty I could move sims back into it at some stage.
I suspect it'll take me a few days to complete my census of the various worlds in this save.
And as a side note, if you're watching the McFluff Story series of videos - they are also recorded in this save.
