The title always makes me laugh, remembering Peter Sellers, in the movie 'Being There', say to Shirley MacLaine "I like to watch" ! :D Well I must admit I Do like watching my sims, just to see what they do! I usually only direct them to help fulfill wishes, although sometimes I admit to doing this creatively! haha
So my family, how did it begin? Starting in Moonlight Falls with Dante, Violet, and Argus, it was plain so see that Violet and Argus were getting to be an item. Dante was best friends with Belinda Crumplebottom, and they decided to move in together to my favorite house. (actually, the only house I like here!)
Belinda wanted a child with Dante, and it pained him to let her down as he felt he was too young, and he wanted a more traditional family when he matured. He loved Belinda as friend, and even though she was so kind and lovely personality, she was not 'the One' for him.
Belinda was swept off her feet by Don Lothario, they fell in love and married. When ever he would scare her she would retaliate by casting a spell on him! :D They enjoyed each other immensely! She has not had a child with Don so far though, she thinks an evil father would be, well, evil!
Moving Forward : Dante

The more he was with her, the more he became convinced she was the One! And so, he convinced her to marry him. I say 'convinced' because She was a bit afraid that he was a Vampire. But, she did love him and she did say Yes! Dante was in heaven! He never drank from her, he only drank plasma orange juice. Their marriage was loving and solid, and then Dante wanted a child.
Tulip always dreamed of babies, but would never get the wish for it. The Watcher (me) became convinced she was worried that Dante might bite the baby! :o One day as they were on a date, Dante started spamming me with wishes to turn Tulip! Even though I usually fulfill wishes, I kept clicking his wishes off. He Spammed me 7 times in half an hour! He wanted desperately to turn her! mmm maybe Dante knows something the Watcher does not! I decided to let him fulfill this wish! I wanted to know! For Science!
"Are you sure, my love?" And Dante slips her a Potent Cure Potion, in case she wants to change her mind. oh Luc! I was so busy trying to keep Tristan and Tula OUT of the pictures, I was happily zoomed close up on Ari & Fawn, snapping away. I didn't even notice that Luc came in to try to get on the bed to watch the big TV on the wall, I think...or maybe he wanted a part in the story! LOL
oh do you think the mod is responsible for them wanting to marry so young? that never occurred to me. I have only had one other teen couple insist to get married, in another game. I just finally gave in, to stop the nagging, and went with making a kind of story with their thought bubbles as my guide. (both wanted to skip school for some reason)
Yes Ari's sad face! now Why would he have that face? I tried to think. maybe skipping school? he is an honor student. but she was talking again about baby shoes, so just went with that!
In this game Pip and to a lesser extent Dahlia are over protective and somewhat over bearing. It has caused Fawn to have less skills, less experiences and be timid and a bit fearful and shy. Pip's overbearing-ness (and self importance I think) was evident also when he kept being a nuisance insisting Marigold get out of the hot tub to talk with him. what sim even does that? lol
I have no idea how the makers figured out how to make some sims unique and so interesting! why only some? how did they choose Who? some of the very best ones I wouldn't have even known about, unless my sim had been in that career, that level. or if I hadn't been parked, watching at a certain time, certain place!
And Why did they go to so much trouble making a beautiful face, fantastic clothing and traits for a homeless sim you aren't likely to even come across?
Watching them has turned a fun pastime into a very entertaining hobby that I just love to pieces! :)
@DivaDoodle : LOL about Cabana going over with the dirty clothes! Maybe the washing machine in the teen´s house was full or broken or just stinking? Another lol about all adults in the house smooching! What else do they do???? :D I thought that Cabana´s joke was funny!!! :D Oh mey, Ari and Fawn are typical teens who think they know everything better than the adults and who can´t wait for anything. Everything has to happen NOW! Gosh, running away and wanting to live in such a tiny tree house, again, teens who don´t overthink their actions! :D Now they are engaged and Fawn aready thinks of children???? Oh my god, they are much too young for this!!! Good that Ari still has two or three working brain cells! Yes! it is impossible with Fawn! as soon as she turned Teen she had baby thoughts and Ran to the nursery to snuggle Tana! Tulip came in the room wanting her child, but Fawn just kept holding her, and chatted with Tulip in defiance!
next episode I am about to post will explain Fawn's thinking a bit. She thinks she has to run away, and be married, even though she is already safe with Ari.

Apparently Ari doesn't like they skipped school (even though both had the wish!) he kept trying to leave for school! so I made him take her too! I think they attended maybe 1.5 hours of school. at least they got the homework!
I don't know! they are nuts! Maybe they do crazy stuff because of the wishes I choose to fulfill? but that doesn't explain Pip or Don's behavior! so I do think the whole town must be crazy in this game!
and my ST game too! I had such a beautiful mail carrier, I decided that the only man perfect enough for her was Herself gender switched! he became her husband and when He won the spring dance award it said 'Queen of the Dance!'' :D
they had a son who the game gave the female long hair from toddler up to YA! it looked So Good on him as he seemed like a Polynesian! I wish the hair could really be for men! I wonder if someone could make it for me!

Cabana is worried. That is not a typical reaction to a scolding, Fawn's reaction makes Cabana fear of what could have possibly traumatized the poor kid to have her have such a reaction.. For pete's sake it's not like he is some sort of a monster! even in angry yelling, his voice isn't loud as some, like Don, who's voice is like listening to some one shouting in a mega phone. Cabana wonders what it could be? He realizes some kids are just more sensitive, but this is almost over the top. He wonders if she would be better off at home. he will keep on the alert.

Especially Dad, he would become so frustrated, and enraged! Telling her she was illogical, childish! That her feelings were Not feelings of love but merely puppy love! He'd yell, looming over her, shouting with a Red Face! Then it would end in a spank and grounding her. It was such a terrifying and infuriating ordeal.
o. boy. Marigold tries to choose her words wisely, this seems a tricky, delicate situation! She wishes Cabana were in here to help, with his nurturing abilities! But Fawn had closed the door, she wanted a private talk.
"The decision, of course is yours, Fawn, but if it were me, let's see, I would want to wait till I was older, things are just a bit easier then, they seem to flow, and everything can more naturally fall into place. @DivaDoodle I enjoyed seeing how Cabana actually managed to scold both the kids. Yep, I'd be terrified of those faces too. He did not look at all like his normal self. It is as if some one took over him. :hushed: I'm sorry Fawn has such terrible father in your save. I've played Moonlight Falls so many times as it is my favorite world. Perhaps it is because I have different aging with long life spans and I use nraas SP now. I don't usually play the EA characters but they are neighbors and friends to my sims. Pip, Dahlia and Flora are fun to watch. They do like to play fairy tricks on others and it is more mischievous than mean. Pip and Dahlia usually have a least one more child naturally and most of the time it is another girl. When Flora dies Pip is distraught and suffers terribly and I just hate that. So, I actually brought Flora back in my Midnight Hollow save with Alice's powers, found her a soulmate and gave them potions that made them both adults instead of elders! :lol: :heart: I know it is your story and you play by watching the sims but it is very sad for me to see Pip who is usually such a sweetie be so mean in your story. :cry: He's got such good traits too. I'm glad Fawn found Marigold a comfort to talk with. Yes, that mod does influence teens wanting to get married if you allow teen romance etc. I switched it once briefly to allow Adam as a YA to still be with Alice who was still a teen. It sure bugged me trying to take pics of them with the difference in height and the kisses were messed up. He kept kissing her nose! LOL I quickly let her have her birthday too and turned the teen stuff back off. :grin:

oh interesting that the mod effects love and wanting marriage as well! That makes it very like here on earth then, with teen woohoo and marriage ~~since I've been alive at least. in my high school senior year there were many many sx. active teens and 4 pregnancy's that went full term and 3 marriages. My big sister was in the 60's so I think that whole 60's free love, played a major part, she said she didn't know of any non sx active classmates. but c'mon there must have been at least one, she's exaggerating!
But in my game the woohoo cannot possibly be like on earth as these little beings don't have the body parts to make it happen! I see a Ken doll and Barbie doll so some kind of super-dooper magic happens when a baby is made! I think all they do when woohooing is laugh and giggle and roll around, it fills the Fun meter to the Top and That is why they love it so much! :)
Love is Very real in my game, I see it, I feel it between them. It's there with partners and children and friends, it very evident. so i am even more glad i have this mod, if it's effecting this! it is so lovely.
:'( I'm sorry bekkasan that it was sad for you to see *hugs* I never want you to be sad! let's hope they are the lucky ones who get to have a reconciliation! If it doesn't happen naturally I will probably have to force it, as this whole Pip/Fawn thing makes me sick. I do Not want real life drama in my game at all, and try to fix things when I see it.
I can't help that some past events get mixed up in my interpretation of (thought bubbles + actions) what happens.
what I think: Pip and Dahlia love their human child, very much. I see when they come to community lots where Fawn is, as if to check on her. I don't know why they don't interact, but I see them look over at her, as if to make sure she is OK.
But that doesn't make them 'ideal parents'. and yelling doesn't make them Bad or mean either. What inexperienced over-protective parent wouldn't feel totally ballistic if their darling child said they were going to run away from them with their boyfriend!
I know that parents and children can love each other even if the parent isn't good at parenting, gets frustrated, and yells & punishes inappropriately. and if that parent has an overly sensitive, wildly imaginative child, well the child interprets that behavior differently too. one child might even think the parent is a monster.
Me Too! :) Pip and Dalia and Fawn were very different in a former game. I didn't play them but saw family love! I loved Flora too and made her young again, she married this handsome farmer who loved to give her rides on the tractor.
I play in a land where there is no death. I can't do it. I play with aging off. If anyone is super annoying and awful they get to work in the service pool so I don't have to see them! lol at least I know all their needs are met so I don't have to feel bad!
This last episode was AWFUL for me to see and write about, I only like it when my sims are happy and having fun. I hope today is back to Normal!!!
I have mods No Curfew, No Scolding among others to stop all the annoying limitations on Teens (my favorite) I have No Clue why my sims in this game won't obey them! Maybe free will lets them be more powerful than we think?

At the party Dante had watched the two flirt and carry on, and have fun together. Don was on his best behavior and seemed rather Gallant. hmmm maybe he had changed? Belinda and Don had a whirlwind courtship and marriage, and moved to their own place. All seemed fine. later on when they heard some gossip Tulip invited them all over to visit. Dante learned that Don had moved them back into her family home to help and pay to renovate it! BUT Dante could sense something was amiss! @DivaDoodle : Once again I couldn´t keep up with reading and commenting your story! :D Cabana and Marigold are sweet together and it seems as if they really fell in love strongly with each other, so nice! He looks so lovely when he looks at her, his face shows nothing but love!!! Ari and Fawn had to be scolded but it´s a shame that Fawn was afraid of Cabana, I don´t want to imagine what must have happened at her home when she reacts in such a defensive way. Awful when children are afraid of their parents!!! Screaming and spanking a child is a no-go, if you can´t calm down, no matter what your child did and talk with it in a normal way than you are a bad parent. Great that she was able to open up when talking to Marigold! So sad that she learned to surpress her feelings, I hope that Ari is solid enough to help her through her phases of fear which will occur in the future!

I think Cabana and marigold are really falling in love! I am so happy for him, I like him so much! That whole bad parenting thing :( :s I don't want to touch further, it's not fun. (that is why I changed households, I didn't even want to be there any longer) so for now we'll say everything worked out! I think Ari is the best guy for Fawn, even though so young!
But Dante can't really tell her or won't it make him and Bianca a couple? and Tulip cry and hate Belinda?... I need to find a way that works! that no one suffers.
The really Bad thing is that when a sim breaks up with a non-commitment sim, he doesn't even Care and just shrugs his shoulders! makes me so mad.
I don't know about Bea and Aiden! they just liked each other! I was so mad at her to put bees on him! He is very nice! I never knew that, never played him very long, just Tristan and Emily who I usually always kidnap lol
I don't know Why Don wants a baby so much in this save! he is freaking me out! the only trait I changed was the mean one(I hate that one). Do the saves *bleed* into each other, influencing other saves? I did put the same skin on him from when he was nice and a family oriented man. but those are not his traits this time.
I only had played him twice before, In one, he did keep the mean trait, for me to experience it.. he loved Ruby, she was the only person he never yelled at. and he was an excellent father as well, never yelling at his kids ever. he never cheated in that save. that is why I brought him to this save.
The save before that, I changed all his traits so he of course was excellent! he married the Bagley girl, made a time machine and they got a teen daughter, from the past. He does make beautiful kids!

I think Bianca's flirty trait is out of control. first Don, then Ayden. I should follow her around town to see what she does, but my main reason to even be in the house is Belinda. and watching Don's behavior. If it is merely town gossip I will give him another chance, but we already see with our own eyes, what happened on Day One.
Belinda and Ayden? but not one trait in common, plus he is too old. I love Belinda but do I want her as Tristan's step mother? I don't know. I will think on it.
It is going to be tricky. All morning I've been thinking How? and Who? Belinda strikes me as one of those girls who sticks with her guy no matter what. :( :'( I will need to change her mind Without her getting hurt. I can't take the hurt Face! :'(
