The title always makes me laugh, remembering Peter Sellers, in the movie 'Being There', say to Shirley MacLaine "I like to watch" ! :D Well I must admit I Do like watching my sims, just to see what they do! I usually only direct them to help fulfill wishes, although sometimes I admit to doing this creatively! haha
So my family, how did it begin? Starting in Moonlight Falls with Dante, Violet, and Argus, it was plain so see that Violet and Argus were getting to be an item. Dante was best friends with Belinda Crumplebottom, and they decided to move in together to my favorite house. (actually, the only house I like here!)
Belinda wanted a child with Dante, and it pained him to let her down as he felt he was too young, and he wanted a more traditional family when he matured. He loved Belinda as friend, and even though she was so kind and lovely personality, she was not 'the One' for him.
Belinda was swept off her feet by Don Lothario, they fell in love and married. When ever he would scare her she would retaliate by casting a spell on him! :D They enjoyed each other immensely! She has not had a child with Don so far though, she thinks an evil father would be, well, evil!
Moving Forward : Dante

The more he was with her, the more he became convinced she was the One! And so, he convinced her to marry him. I say 'convinced' because She was a bit afraid that he was a Vampire. But, she did love him and she did say Yes! Dante was in heaven! He never drank from her, he only drank plasma orange juice. Their marriage was loving and solid, and then Dante wanted a child.
Tulip always dreamed of babies, but would never get the wish for it. The Watcher (me) became convinced she was worried that Dante might bite the baby! :o One day as they were on a date, Dante started spamming me with wishes to turn Tulip! Even though I usually fulfill wishes, I kept clicking his wishes off. He Spammed me 7 times in half an hour! He wanted desperately to turn her! mmm maybe Dante knows something the Watcher does not! I decided to let him fulfill this wish! I wanted to know! For Science!
"Are you sure, my love?" And Dante slips her a Potent Cure Potion, in case she wants to change her mind. @DivaDoodle : Lol at Jed to try to convince his dad to stay at home for the morning and just go to school in the afternoon. Although I think that the children in game can learn much more wt home than at school it is just normal for Rocky to deny this wish of Jed! The kid has to learn to do soemething although he doesn´t want to. Good that he instantly new why Jed was asking, because otherwise he should have asked his son why he doesn´t want to go to school.... (could be that his son gets bullied because of his height!) Furthermore I wouln´t be so relaxed if my too-young-for-his-body son whoohoos with the maid.... I know how 17-years old behave and I know, of course, that they think about sex the freaking hole time of the day, but I don´t think that they should experience it with people who are more than 10 years older than them! Did your relatives fly first class or was the plane so empty that they could use the beds in the first class? I know that there are beds and a bar and such on some planes still, especially at the long distance flights, must be great to fly with such class! Much much better than like being a sardine in a can... It must have been a great trip to Egypt, although I have to say that I wouldn´t travel at all at the moment. Maybe I am too frightened about the virus but I think that being too near to people is not good at all in this times. But that´s just me. It must be great to see all this ancient buildings and objects so near and with so less people! Yes, this maypole tradition we have here, too, but mostly in the southern parts of Germany where that tradition started. You can literally draw a line from east to west in the middle of Germany, under that line nearly all the traditions the people in the world think what is German is founded there, we in the area above that line think it´s not German AT ALL. :D It´s because of our history, the area above the line used to be Prussian, where it is said that the people there were very reliable, steadily, diciplined, none humourous, precise whereas the people from south of the line (mostly Bavarians) were profuse in hospitality, were very cozy, a bit slowly (in work and with thinking) and were mostly farmers who didn´t know much more than needed for being a farmer. Of course both descriptions are false... :D But it is true that there is a big rivalry and a bit of hostility between the northern and the southern part...

The above was just a bit of silliness, because I just had an hour or so. Yesterday was the first time out in 1.5 yr! We had so much fun with relatives and practically over stayed our welcome, at a Japanese restaurant! The waiter and staff were overjoyed to see us! My first time without a mask, Yes I was terrified the entire time because I'm a germaphobe!
It was sooooo good to see my relatives and catch up!
This part is what I really want to tell you because I find it incredibly fascinating!!!! Our relatives just got back from Egypt! it is only one of 5 places that they were allowed to visit, in the entire World!! They had BEDS on the airplane, and a Bar they could hang out in to get drinks! On the Plane! I feel like I am an ice man just thawed to this century to learn about this!?
They were the ONLY tourists there! And had an Armed guard assigned to them to take them from Cairo to Abu Simbel ! :open_mouth: He had an Uzi type gun tucked into his jacket! :open_mouth: OMG what?!!!
Their pix were Incredible! The peoples are so beautiful especially the Nubians living in the Nubian village! They look a bit to me like the gorgeous Ethiopians! I hope I am allowed to say all this, I'm not too up on being PC, being so old and decrepit and ignorant!
Also, I think my niece grew a foot and a half!? She really enjoyed the trip because she had just done a big report on all the pyramids! The first thing she did after hugging me was to show me a close up pic of a Mummy!??? she is 12! She told me it was against the rules to bring in cameras, but since they were the Only tourists there, the guide actually Took her phone and got all these Super close up pics for them! And she said the guide was super nice, and let her go behind the roped off areas, so that she could examine the hieroglyphs more closely!! (Yes her parents had heavily tipped the guide, for sure! Apparently a smart thing to do!)
Also, they told me this is the BEST time to go traveling because No one is around, and guides will give you extended tours with specialized attention, and information, and let you stay longer than allowed in museums and pyramids because, why not? No one lese is there! (Again, be sure to tip! They very much appreciated that!)
I can't imagine a more wonderful vacation and they even got to ride Camels! *so jealous!* except that the normal temperature was 110F there in the desert! Ack! Bring a Hat and dress very modestly as the custom dictates!

OMG you were sooo brave with your sis to explore those surely haunted places! Eeeeeek! sounds like so much fun!!! I could never do something like that now, I've grown so chicken! But once in my teen years me and my summer school girl friends I had met, broke in to the catacombs to explore at night! ? Only one was smart enough to have a flashlight, because we were all so stupid back then! ? ! I don't know How we weren't caught sneaking out or the dorm or especially sneaking IN there, it was just a chain link fence at the time and we just climbed over it! And no guards or anything. But how we were so brave, I think we must have been very tipsy!? We were all the over-protected teens and went full on wild when our parents sent us to summer school abroad right before senior year! The girls were from all over America, and I still write to one of them (the flash light girl!)! To this day we thank God that we were never one of our chaperones! ?
I think my favorite thing in Sims 3 at the moment is discovering which premade townies, with a bit of a makeover, can go from blah to WOW! Dwayne fits that bill perfectly!
OHMIGOSH, I am so jealous of your behind-the-scenes tour of the Winchester House! I've always wanted to see it: my younger sister and I are huge fans of old homes and estates (I'm a history buff and she's a supernatural fan, we gently make fun of each others interests while enjoying each other' company tremendously!) and that house is near the top of our lists for post-Covid travels. We live in the northeast of the US where there are a lot of closed, rundown psychiatric hospitals and TB wards, and in our younger, more reckless days, we used to sneak into them and explore at night - so much fun! We gave our parents lots of early gray hairs, for sure. :)
@bakkasan Yes I probably should get my tall blonde teens back to their original height as I am not into seeing the awkward kissing! it really bugs me! Even with Jed kissing Nadia it is mis-matched, did you notice? The only thing I have noticed going wrong is it will only show the tall teens and Brook when the game is loading, but that might be because the game can't fit all 14 of them in that little box! Everything else runs smoothly and not even one bit of lag on the home front, where as Dante's house sputtered and paused with just 11 sims. I know it is reckless to go along with this but I have been playing recklessly since the firestation days, none of that is supposed to happen either I am pretty sure! ??
OH? What strange things does the supernatural effect DO? I just don't want to be bothered by Zombies, I hate stuff getting in my way and having a whole town effect---I think--- maybe I am ready for it now?
Ah I just have 2 different skins that are cc. The Glam one is my favorite because even on EA sims just slapping that skin on makes them look immediately better, If I'm feeling lazy! :D in other words Usually!

I am so glad that they can bite and turn other sims because now I do need more were's since Dwayne has flown the coop with his entire Den! I am so sad to lose Dwayne as he was the very Best inappropriate sim Ever, and was never mean or nasty, just silly! So, It's all up to Waylan now (and Laz) to up my werewolf population! Can Teens turn others or does it have to be adults? I have never tried the turning more people until Sunny. Now I'll have to switch to were wolves! Yes I was surprised that Fabian initiated that woo! When I saw that popup that Henny had brought home Mara from school I was thinking Rut-Ro the boys will have their genders decided For them! I don't really like that as much as the sim deciding for themselves. So I was glad that it was Fabian's decision, but still thought he would be gay somehow, because of the pink hearts with Chad at the perfect gardens place.
I think Jed thinks it might be a bit wrong, or 'iffy' to be with a YA since his dad had sent them home from the kissing booths, and also that he was hoping that Nadia thought he was an adult. He has never told her he is a teen and goes to the effort of saying things like "I have a couple of free hours this morning..." and doesn't add "before School" !!! so there is a little bit of something there, for sure!
Like wise, he won't out right tell his Dad that he is attracted to an older girl, but prefers to do stuff on the sly, like see if he can ask his Dad to have Nadia come be their housekeeper, because he is just that sort of teen to like his privacy about some of his feelings until he figures it all out for himself.
Yes Sunny wants to have a meeting with Dante and the other Vamps about turning more sims and bringing them into the fold. I thought I wrote that part about Dante already knowing, and not thinking it was a bad idea, but maybe I had erased it for not flowing in the paragraphs? but anyway, that will happen later, that meeting and talk, in the New House! ;)
I am too scared to over load that homebase and am delighted that all the big family hasn't yet crashed the game!

Yes Hanae is Hannah newly youngified to live another life! (because I couldn't let her go! ;) ) she just always had this quiet gracefulness about her. Now here, in this town she is a bit more vivacious and head strong about kids! :D I loved that old Remington house! so like the Winchester Mystery House! My best friend worked there and let me in the back places that tourist didn't get to see, and said she had parties there with the other workers after hours!! :o spooky!

@DivaDoodle I see about the teens/ya. That is a strange glitch and is not supposed to happen. I use genetics all the time and look at the how my choice will look at each stage. If I decide I don't like it I hit the random again. I hope it doesn't corrupt the two boys or your game. That would be awful! I do adjust their tones in CAS but they still have that underlying vampire grayness. Oh well. I have such a variety of skins I use, but it happens with all. So perhaps it is the Supernatural effect as I don't change any of that. I like it. It really does make the sims do fun things. I'm surprised with you liking unexpected stuff you don't use it.
I love my fake elders and just let them gradually go grey as the story progresses. Or in some cases they dye their hair. I had one oldie lady dye hers a beautiful fiery red hair. <3
I didn't play with were's until Adam and I just laughed and laughed watching him and seeing the funny things they do as a were. Yes they are ugly and I do go into CAS and try to match hair and change a few facial features that make them all look alike. They should still look a little like themselves since they don't actually turn into wolves which would have been totally cool. I fell in love with them. It only took me 5 years to try them. LOL They do bite others to turn and can have a LTW to turn the town. I need to get busy as Adam has only turned Marshall. :grin: My favorites are witches and vampires.

Your sims are usually quite proud of their prowess since they exhibit themselves :wink: at the parks and venues in town quite often. :lol:

Yay! Some honest politicians for the town! We should have known that Glorious Dante would be keeping an eye on things in case Miriam and Icky Octavio decided to get back to their old tricks. I can't wait to see Sunny's grand new home, and all the shenanigans that will happen there. :)

Hanae is based on Hannah Jones?! Oh, now I love her even more! She and Aiden are some of my favorite Riverviewians (is that a word? oh well, it is now!) and they always end up having a giant pack of happy kiddos to fill that huge, creepy house of theirs whenever I play the town. No wonder Hanae is so good at being a parent!
And I'm loving all the teenage romance drama! Chad is super cute and I hope he gets through this awkward phase unscathed. :) Thanks as always!
