Zoo U students, after registration, please do the following (some things are marked optional, but if it is not marked that way, I will assume that you will do it before the next lesson).1. IT WOULD BE VERY HELPFUL, but not required, IF YOU WOULD REGISTER FOR EACH LESSON OF THIS COURSE. It keeps the thread bumped so that new students will see it.2. You will be posting questions and comments as well as seeing the photo and description of the build step you are supposed to be doing. It is important that you can have the forum opened to this thread but minimized as you build and have your game open but minimized as you come here to post. Please try this out before the course starts by minimizing this window right now, opening up your game and starting a new game, saving your game and hitting the "windows" key on your keyboard (if you have a Mac, kindly scroll down to post four and my friend Wibble will tell you how to do this!) and posting something in this thread (like "Testing that I can post while my game is open") and then going back into your game to make sure all is running well. This all works fine on MY computer, but everyone's machine is different and you don't want any unpleasant surprises when the first lesson begins.4. I would at least go look at what has been posted, but even that is not required. Since the last course and the new course are not linked at all, you can still be working on the last homework and it shouldn't hamper you in learning the material for the new course!

It certainly couldn't HURT to have a lot that is all ready to landscape. One thing that generally happens when I'm a student in one of these courses is that I want to participate and to build whatever we are working on in class. My point is that you will likely be in the mood to landscape after the class is over.

Sounds smart! I figured she probably has some good plans for us, and you are more than right... I will be itching to landscape when we are through. As it happens, I have this idea buzzing through my brain, so I might as well get started on it, and then I should be close enough when this course is done to landscape. Brilliant idea! Um, your idea, that is, not mine. :hunf:

Itsy's landscaping course is likely to be a single lesson (I've told her she can have as many lessons as she wants, but she thinks one is what she will need). I don't have the next course lined up just yet, but I am thinking about what we might like to see.

Does anyone have a specific lesson they might like to see next?

Some of the things I have toyed with:
1. Using house plans to make a Sim house.
2. Using MOO to make "new" furniture and architecture.
3. Interior Design and using CAS.

I'm open to other ideas! Does anyone have a project they would love to do but not feel equal to?

Hello Itsy! I'm really excited about the landscaping, I would love to learn to make my lots look fabulous. Basic is good, it is where you should always start! Maybe sometime in the future, you will consider coming back and teaching advanced if we are nice students and bribe you... um, I mean learn our lessons well? :lol:

No, really, I am extremely interested in all three! Of those 3, I would say I am least proficient in number two. :shock:

I take that back... number one is where I have most of my problems! :shock: *shakes head*
Then again, I do have a really hard time figuring where to place furniture, and how to put all my colors and such together. :hunf: *sigh*

Ooh, I'd love all three things!
With 1 I have the worst way of doing it - alt+tab 'So that goes like that', alt+tab, *copies in game* etc so the course would be a great help!
With 2 it would be a really neat new trick to learn
With 3 it would be a fantastic course in general! Would it include how to do interior design to a specific style as I seem to go into modern mode in all my builds?
Any Zoo U course would be great as I love learning new things and every Zoo U course is a huge help with improving my builds.

And, of course, this course is an IMMENSE help as when I landscape I get a bit *ahem* lazy

All of the above, please! Really, I love the idea of using house plans to make a SIm house and while I've been experimenting with making new furniture with MOO, I haven't been successful with making it functional all the time.

This is so much fun :-)

So Zoo in answer to your question all three I would be interested in, though if you make me choose one, it would be 2 I guess. I would love to get better at MOO. Now to go poke Jenny and Cressie. :twisted:
