Mine is also not working. I have the base game and world adventures currently installed and patched. I edited the two files.
I also am getting the cannot start process while game is running error..
Pretty disappointing.
I've been playing sims 4 on my mac and have gotten a little tired of it, so I wanted to try sims 3 out again. I haven't played it since 4 came out.
I have the 13" MBP early 2015, with intel iris 6100.
