I usually let the Watcher intervene. :D Karmic Retribution is what I call it. (yes, the one who has meteor storms disrupting his neighbourhood has crawled out of the wood-work).

There's a lot to be said for a well-placed meteor. (There is a mod called Disasters & Blessings). >:) And there's one that's even worse in terms of direct hands-on...stuff that will "get rid" of a sim that you want gotten rid of.
My town's city-graveyard (I have a second one which is just for my sims' family-members) is littered with the headstones of those eliminated by the Watcher. :D
