Anyone Else (Other Than Me) Playing (or Have Played) an Epic Lifespan Legacy?

Just curious. Like I said, I'm probably insane to do an Epic Legacy...like the Selfacy that I'm currently doing where the lifespans are pretty much maxed out other than the "infant and toddler" stages.

My current lifespan for my sims is set at 996 days, not long enough that I get frustrated but still epic enough by most standards. It should provide plenty of time for my sims to do whatever they need to and considering I got 200 Chapters out of Generation One. I'm really starting to wonder just how many Chapters I'm going to get out of Generation Two and so forth.
  • I've got an epic lifespan as babies get 60 days, toddlers get 120,children have 360,teens get 180,young adults get 540 while adults get 1080 and elders get 540.I've got pregnancies lasting 30 days too.
  • Not sure if this really counts, but my sims' life span is 242 sim days. Since I play rotationally within each (Traveler mod) connected world though and these sims do not age and progress meaningfully unless it is "their turn" and I am playing them actively myself under sort of a modified version of TS2 style aging by way of NRaas SP, they do get to experience well over 1,000 sim days each in total depending upon how many households I have to rotate through in that world. Some would be more like 2,000. That's kind of like epic, maybe?

As for how slowly I play, sheesh. I remember announcing the birth of my first triplets to some other players and non-simmers who I am sure were only pretending to be interested over four realtime years ago. These triplets are still less than halfway through their teen stage now. :)

Technically my founding sim and his partner are still alive, although they really shouldn't be. I parked them in Starlight Shores in permanent retirement ages ago, but to this day I can't seem to bring myself to make that world active by traveling there and having them pass away from old age so I can bring their remains back home even though I know it would be kind of fun to have them around again as ghosts. :'(

Wow you have a lot of patience. My babies are 3 days, toddlers are 7 days, children are given half of the lifespan, teens are given half of the lifespan, young adults the full lifespan and the elders get the full lifespan as well. And my pregnancies are only 3 days long. lol
  • Technically my age is set to normal but I also have aging off soooo...

Considering I've played the same sims in my legacy family for a few years I'd say they have a very epic lifespan :p

I also play on epic lifespan. I like for my Sims to have enough time to accomplish their career goals and live a little before settling down to start their families. I also play extremely slowly so I can enjoy all the world (and the townies) have to offer.
  • For the bulk of my simming days I played a normal lifespan - this was because I didn't patch my game very far and I believe that adjustable life stages came with the Generations patch and I don't do babies and the toddler stage only needs to last until the toddlers have their main skills. I know I could have aged my sims up manually but I would have to do that for the whole town and that would be too much work. I find that I can get a lot accomplished in my sims' lives on the normal lifespan (with the Relativity mod of course) and was quite happy to play that way for many years. I also find longer lifespans dangerous for me because I can't help but let my sims have more babies whenever they wish for one. If they don't live long, they can't do that to me ;)

I took a couple of years off simming because of big life changes but when I came back a year and a half ago I decided to try long. I did enjoy it but found the wait between generations painfully long. I am a generational player so this was hard for me. It also meant my families were bigger and that meant more work finding partners for and setting up of spares.

My current save, which I am enjoying immensely, is on a modified medium lifespan. I toyed with the idea of short but it was too short because I didn't want to adjust pregnancy times because I like seeing my sims pregnant. My sims get just over 50 days (my elder stage has been lengthened because I didn't want to lose them too quickly) and I am flying through the generations and the town is ever changing because of the rapid turnover. For someone who plays for genetics, this is perfect.

I think I tried epic once in my early days of simming but it wasn't really my cup of tea.
