Hmmm...favorite wishes...let me see as I have quiet a few of them. I like when a Sim isn't so certain about the Sim they may be considering a relationship with and request to 'Learn two more of their traits' and/or 'Make (the Sim's) favorite meal'. This tells me that they are thinking about or wanting to spend a bit of time with them to see if there is actually something there worth building up or not.
Sometimes when I grant those wishes, the Sim they were previously enamored with will mess up so bad that they unintentionally squash whatever chances they may have had with my Sim. Not too long after that happens my Sim will send out a 'Meet Someone New' wish.
