As far as I know, they don't get passed down (which is silly). Theres probably a mod to combat that though!
Eh, I'll just roll a dice and use cheats to add it on aha- karritzSeasoned RookieIn one of my recent games I have a sim with a beauty spot above her mouth and her toddler son has one in the same spot so it was either inherited or random. But he has his mum's beauty spot.
- MinxACBNew SpectatorNrass mods can influence this. It adds on age up and you pic the percent chance. Otherwise I'm like 99.9 percent sure it does not pass on. And I'm about 70 percent sure of 99.9 percent.
- I don't think it does, unless all four my quadruplets didn't inherit them. The mom has a full face of freckles and the dad does not. I ended up just giving them to one of them when she was older. Freckles didn't really suit the other three.
- IreneSwiftSeasoned NewcomerNRaas story progression mod will allow children to inherit those things.

That may be why my sim inherited his mother's beauty spot as I have NRAAS Story Progression. I was surprised to see him with it as I'd never seen that happen before. - LadyGray01Seasoned HotshotI wish freckles were inherited without mods. They should be.
- StoryProgression is the mod that governs genetics.
Could be mistaken, but I believe that inheritance of such attributes comes from SP's Advanced Genetics function. It's on by default, but requires the SP Extra and SP Population add-on modules.
Edit: Whoops, now I'm not sure if the Advanced bit is required. But anyway, the option that governs those is here:
NRaas > SP > General Options > Options:Pregnancy > Chance of Part Inheritance > (default is 25).
"Parts include birth marks and freckles." - @HSmith2016 - From what I've seen, some beauty marks (and moles) do get handed down in real life but they don't always land in the same place as the parent or ancestor who had them.
@SimKeats - It takes a lot these days for me to add more CAS related things to my game as I've got so much more to work with than I could possibly use. But that skin -- downloads!
Thanks! I hope it works well alongside other sims with not so High Def skins for everyday play though, my experience in that area has not been great. Some of them really seem best suited for posing and modeling, not so much for everyday play. - Winifred_WillowNew SpectatorI actually have the default Kurasoberina's Freckled Fruit Redux as well as E-skin Fresh default and my sims for five generations has either inherited freckles as the founding Sim had or clear skin. I haven't had any issues with both defaults in the game. I knew before hand that there should only be one but accidentally placed the default freckled skin in and didn't notice until I switched stuff around several generations later. So, if you play like I do then yes, freckles can be hereditary however moles will have to be manually placed.
