Are Freckles and Beauty Marks Genetic?

As far as I know, they don't get passed down (which is silly). Theres probably a mod to combat that though!

In one of my recent games I have a sim with a beauty spot above her mouth and her toddler son has one in the same spot so it was either inherited or random. But he has his mum's beauty spot.

Nrass mods can influence this. It adds on age up and you pic the percent chance. Otherwise I'm like 99.9 percent sure it does not pass on. And I'm about 70 percent sure of 99.9 percent.

@Minx do you happen to know which mod? I'd love to have some freckle faced wee ones.

I don't think it does, unless all four my quadruplets didn't inherit them. The mom has a full face of freckles and the dad does not. I ended up just giving them to one of them when she was older. Freckles didn't really suit the other three.

I've seen earlier threads where people have tried to get freckles inherited and they have all concluded that freckles are not inherited.

If you use custom content there are some freckled skins available.

I just add it myself. One of my sims had gapped teeth (CC) so I gave his son braces (CC) as a child-teen.

NRaas story progression mod will allow children to inherit those things.

That may be why my sim inherited his mother's beauty spot as I have NRAAS Story Progression. I was surprised to see him with it as I'd never seen that happen before.
