- As far as I know, they don't get passed down (which is silly). Theres probably a mod to combat that though!
- @Minx do you happen to know which mod? I'd love to have some freckle faced wee ones.

I don't think it does, unless all four my quadruplets didn't inherit them. The mom has a full face of freckles and the dad does not. I ended up just giving them to one of them when she was older. Freckles didn't really suit the other three.
I've seen earlier threads where people have tried to get freckles inherited and they have all concluded that freckles are not inherited.
If you use custom content there are some freckled skins available. - SimplyJenRising SpectatorI just add it myself. One of my sims had gapped teeth (CC) so I gave his son braces (CC) as a child-teen.

I wish freckles were inherited without mods. They should be.
i think too, freckles & moles should be inheritable without mods
unfortunately i play currently with NRaas SP off & will have two babies with a freckled father, really too bad, i like freckles very much
i'll have to add them per hand then- If you like custom, non-default skins, and want freckles to be hereditary, you could always get a skin like Kurasoberina's Freckled Fruit Redux.
Thats one of the great things about NRAAS SP to me, is that it does so much better at genetics than EA SP. :) "HSmith2016;15107581" wrote:
Freckles should definitely be inherited or passed down through the generations, but I'm not so sure about beauty marks. I don't believe that is something that gets passed on IRL, is it? I mean, obviously the game is a game, but I like to think the genetic part of it should emulate reality a bit.
Well, I think you're partly right and partly wrong lol. Having lots of moles is genetic for sure. They run in my family, and my ex-husband's. Both our children have lots of beauty marks, but none of them are in the exact spots ours are. The tendency to have moles is hereditary, the placement is not. In a perfect sims game, the beauty marks would be inheritable, but the placement would be randomized."HSmith2016;15107581" wrote:

Most of my mum's beauty marks got passed down to me so yeah, they're genetic :). I think The Sims think otherwise though aha I'll just have to cheat if I want to put a beauty mark on lol"donnabailey;15107821" wrote:

It's the opposite for me, I got all of my mum's beauty spots in the same exact places she has it, I'm like a miniature version of her aha :) I think The Sims should have really developed their genetic system"IreneSwift;15106985" wrote:

That may be why my sim inherited his mother's beauty spot as I have NRAAS Story Progression. I was surprised to see him with it as I'd never seen that happen before."igazor;15107304" wrote:
StoryProgression is the mod that governs genetics.Could be mistaken, but I believe that inheritance of such attributes comes from SP's Advanced Genetics function. It's on by default, but requires the SP Extra and SP Population add-on modules.
Edit: Whoops, now I'm not sure if the Advanced bit is required. But anyway, the option that governs those is here:
NRaas > SP > General Options > Options:Pregnancy > Chance of Part Inheritance > (default is 25).
"Parts include birth marks and freckles."
Thank youuu, I'll check out the mod! :)
