Ava Sinclair - 2020

Hello and welcome to Ava Sinclair – 2020! I am Brandontaylor and I am going to explain a few things before we get started. First of all, who is Ava Sinclair? Well, Ava is the combination of several Sims from Sunset Valley. You see, I read a story that had a Sim I really liked but it was not available for download. So I decided to recreate her through the family tree. This was a few years ago but my attempt didn’t go so well. I ended up seeing some potential in the Sim I created and Ava Sinclair was born. I played her for a while and she had quite the life going. I eventually started posting on @emorrill ‘s thread which made me a fan of the forums. That save continued for a bit until I decided to try a challenge. The challenge ended up failing due to my computer issues and a lack of interest from me. Ava has had multiple stories on the forums but my computer issues made playing those saves hard. I fixed some issues but my computer is quite old and just can’t play games like it used to. I am currently playing with World Adventures, Generations, Late Night, and Supernatural. Ava got a bit of a makeover due to not having all EPs installed, as well as a fix to her lips. This story will not have a plot of any kind, it will just kind of go however I feel like it should go. There will be a few things that will be similar to the original save but there will be a lot of changes. I also do not have internet at home anymore so this story will only get updated when I have wifi available. Well, enough about me and Ava’s history, let’s get started on Ava’s story for 2020.

Hello, I am Ava Sinclair and I am new to Sunset Valley. I was given $16,500 simoleans by my father and was told to start my own legacy to pass down. I am a charismatic Sim, as well as ambitious, brave, friendly, and flirty. My lifetime wish is to be Leader of the Free World.

Like many of us Sims across the multiverse, when you come to Sunset Valley, you only have so many choices for housing. I ended up picking the Shotgun Style home but hope to move out of there as soon as possible.

The old owners had left an old bed, and a desk with chair in the second bedroom. After buying the house, I only had $229 in my bank account so I ended up selling these items so I could use the money for a few necessities.

Since I don’t have a car, I had to take the taxi to town. I got a few errands to run and I got to get a job to pay the bills. They don’t pay themselves you know.

My interview with Tamara Donner went very well and she hired me on the spot. I am now a podium polisher! It’s not the most glamorous job but you got to start somewhere. I also ended up taking a charisma class to get started on that skill.

I wanted to meet some Sims so I ran around back of City Hall where a couple was flirting. I ended up interrupting to meet them. Boyd and I got along very well, and there was even a bit of attraction. The lady who I assume is his wife must not have caught it.

It turns out her name is Susan and she is in fact his wife. I was a bit disappointed but I talked to her anyway. The three of us ended up having a nice little chat and I walked away with one new friend. (Boyd)

Here’s the newest update. I am going to change my format a bit after this update as I’m not sure I want to continue in Ava’s voice, especially when other characters get involved. I want to take a few less screenshots and put in a bit of dialogue. We will see how it goes, anyway.

City Hall wasn’t too far from my home so I ended up running home. No reason to pay a taxi when I have two feet.

I have to admit, I don’t have any cooking skill so I figured ordering pizza may be a better choice. The lady on the phone was very nice.

Speaking of cooking, I read a bit in an old cookbook the former owners left. I didn’t learn much but at least it is a start. Once I run out of pizza, maybe I could give it a try.

The pizza came and it was delivered by Autumn Cusack. She had a pretty neat hair color and she thanked me for complimenting it. The pizza tasted amazing! Someone sure knew what they were doing in that kitchen.

After eating my pizza slice, I decided to check out the alchemy store. I kind of had a bit of an interest in it and thought it might come in handy.

I asked the clerk what she had for sale but she didn’t have anything I really wanted and the things I did were too expensive. I ended up buying Alchemy Vol. 1 so I could learn at home. I can’t really afford one of those fancy stations.

Boyd and Susan were flirting again and it kind of made me sick. I’m not sure why but I felt like Boyd could do better.

Using the alchemy station at the store, I ended up learning one elixir. The clerk also told me that I could take a few cheap ingredients home for free! I thanked her for those, now I don’t know if I should grow them to get more or just to use them.

I talked to Boyd some more when Susan wasn’t looking. She was too busy reading a book and didn’t notice anything.

It was going on 7pm and I was starting to get tired. I told Boyd goodnight and headed home. After getting ready for bed, I slipped under the covers and drifted off to sleep.

Waiting on my internet to get set up before continuing this story. I plan on returning to it once I get that taken care of.
