Get to work is Sims 4.I think the OP is referring to Sims 3.

No one was being negative. You aren't the OP.OP means original poster who
created the thread.The information you provided is for a completely different sims game.
He is referring to the indulgent bakery set from the sims 3 store, while the info you provided
is helpful for someone having issues with the sims 4 gamepack, it won't help sims 3 players.
The Sims 3 doesn't even have a retail/business expansion like 4 does, and the coding and gameplay
is completely different so the information you provided won't be helpful to those searching for sims 3
answers.I honestly wasn't trying to be negative, just trying to make sure that sims 3 players know that
answer is for Sims 4.

Thank you, I don't see how my response was being negative.I know a lot of people google things
and years later people try things that are posted on the thread. It wasn't my intent to upset Bree.

I was indeed referring to the indulgent bakery from Sims 3. I didn't specify because I thought this being in the sims 3 help forum would be enough context.

Thanks for the tips everyone, unfortunately I've been unable to resolve the always closed issue. I'm not sure how much of an issue it is since sims visit the lot anyway. Hiring someone to tend the till is still doing strange things. It generates a random sim, their name is never what the notification says it is and I can go through 5 different sims in a single shift. Somethings up with it, doesn't seem normal.

I have plans to revisit the bakery in the future but I'm not sure I want to have this in my game at the moment as it's turning out to be a huge distraction from family activities. And when I do revisit, I'll be using the ticket machine by simlogical so that I can get around some of the bizarre restrictions and quirks of the hang out lot.

Is this your sims business or a bakery you downloaded into the game. If it's the latest then you'll need to have any other household own the bakery first and only the it will be open for your household...

This article says you need someone to run the register. Is this the problem?

@telmarina Yes, I did download. I have a save from just before I placed it in my game so I can place it again and have someone else buy it. Thanks, I'll try this.

@KatyFernlily I did but it hasn't fixed it. I get a message that I hired so and so sim but the sim that shows up is a completely different person. And I had one person just disappear. Customers will show up to the bakery even though it's 'closed' but they don't respect the lot hours, they just show up whenever they want. Hopefully telemarina's suggestion fixes the strangeness I've been experiencing with this lot. Thank you for the link.

make sure your sim owns it. also have someone run the register, to do this go to the Cash Register next to simology and click the employee's option, then hire your preferred employee.

Bree - I think this person means the indulgent bakery for sims 3. At least I assume so.
