Barnacle bay Seasons?

After years without touching Barnacle Bay I went back to it, now with Seasons installed, and waited to see the island under snow. But it appears always to be summer. Is that how it was intended to be, since it's not a "tropical" island? I haven't turned off the season progression so I suspect Barnacle bay is eternally in summer.
  • Allowable seasons are world- and game save-specific. Once you are actually in your BB game and you pull up the game options, are you certain that all four seasons are checked off?

Does mouse hovering over the weather icon near the game clock tell you which season it is currently and how many sim days until the next one starts? What happens if you use the cheats console for testingcheatsenabled true and the shift-click on the ground -- under Seasons, can you select what should be the next one to occur or maybe just jump right into winter?
  • You can test real easy by Testingcheatsenabled true, then shift clicking the ground will let you make it snow and choose how heavy and the depth on ground etc.
  • Not sure this was set up that way on purpose, though. BB was designed and released over two years before the Seasons EP existed as was already mentioned. So can you reactivate the other three seasons from within Game Options once it's loaded up?

I have seasons in Barnacle Bay. Didn´t change any settings.
  • I have never played Barnacle Bay but it was issued way before seasons came out. @igazor any idea? Thanks
  • I have turned off seasons while creating a world, and yes - Barnacle Bay is set to remain only in summer time. I didn't do it, that's how the game set it up, together with adding the magic shop and the clubs from the other EPs I installed since I last played Barnacle Bay. It just doesn't look that much like a tropical "always summer" sort of place, really.
  • I'm sure I could change the settings quite easily. I probably will when I get tired of eternal summertime, lol. Perhaps it was just a fluke if nobody else has noticed this with Barnacle Bay.
