Without PP, you can scroll to the second set of eight sims (which would be only 1 if you had a total of 9) by tapping the space bar to cycle through your active houshold.
Funnily enough, the NRaas one. It wouldn't load saves. I know about the space bar and right click thing, it's just an inconvenience.
