Regarding renewing interest, one thing you can do, if you have the time, is to start putting out Sims 3 videos or contacting popular YouTubers who do Let's Plays. There are a growing number of hardcore Sims 3 players who are hungry for new content to do Let's Plays around, and these videos are doing a lot to lure Sims 3 players back in or keep the ones we have now.

I know this isn't the most ideal solution, but it's the best insurance a person can have. I've heard of other methods of securing the disc version os the game *cough cough* but the problem is that piracy isn't a failsafe, either. All it does is buy you some time before there's a crackdown.
