Children Can't Bob For Apples

I'm not sure what's going on, but my Child Sims can't use the Apple Bobbing Tank that appears with the Fall Festival Grounds. There is an option for them to enter the competition but, if I click on it, they act like something is in their way. The adults can use the tank just fine. I don't understand what's going on. I tried searching online, and I see there have been a couple of posts about it here, but no resolution given. I don't want to uninstall the whole game or any other drastic troubleshooting option for just this issue. Is there anything else I can try? I have most of the NRAAS mods already and have attempted resetting the object.

@TequilaPervz I'm using the default EA made Sunset Valley, what happens if you do that too, instead of the custom version by Ellacharmed?

I made the mistake of not backing up the original world file. Even if I had the file, I don't think I'd be up to checking. I just want to play at this point. In future, I'll test it out to see if makes a difference, but I think that angle would bug me more than the issue. Maybe that's weird of me.

@TequilaPervz No, I don't think you're weird, it's your game and therefore you're the only one who can decide what look is right or wrong.

It doesn't seem to have anything to do with that particular lot, it is the same on other lots I've tried too, both residential and community. Children can't use the apple tank if it's placed diagonally, while the other age categories can, and I have absolutely no idea why. Like so many things in TS3, it's a real mysterie. :/
