Corrupted Installation? Please help!

The only risk is that it won't work, which is no worse than what you have now. I believe there is more to the DRM that a disc-based install provides than a Registry entry or two that can be copied between two machines. I'm sorry that I don't have anything more definitive to share than that, I don't even have a disc install myself, but can only go by what other players report and how I see other such protected programs operate.
