If you play sims off-line, that helps prevent crashing too.
For me, I watch the compositor caches. When the compositor cache rises close to 100k or the simcompositor cache gets close to 500k, then I know I need to use "save as" and then quit.
Also, if saving is taking a long time, that is clue to check those compositor caches.
Possibly your system was vista and then updated. I'm not a computer techie, so this is all I can offer! - When TS3 was released in June 2009, the current Windows operating systems were XP and Vista. The Crash Log mechanism was never updated to account for versions of Windows beyond that. The DeviceConfig.log mechanism was never updated to account for the version of windows beyond 8.1 because that's what was the highest release when the meaningful game patches stopped being produced.
I'm pretty sure that everyone gets those Windows version mismatches, it's all pretty meaningless. :) - graceymanorsNew HotshotThanks, I did that and it has helped with crashing.=)
No, my computer never was a vista, it came brand new as a windows 10 gaming PC.
Saving is super quick, my saves usually take less than a minute to save.Probably because I clear my caches before
I launch. My laptop takes forever though lol.
