I have Returner set to 100% chance of getting an IF at birth.
I know the dolls can be a bit of a nuisance at times but on balance they make a positive contribution to my games and I want every child to have one. Not all become real but some do.
This one belonged to Heather Hansen from my Big Game. She's an adult now and lives with a sim the game matched her with so I went along with it.

Her name is Annie. I have played her briefly but mostly I've left her to do her own thing. When I put her into my new Cake Island game I gave her new hair and skin. Plus I gave her a new wardrobe but let her keep her original Imaginary Friend 'uniform' just to add a bit of colour to the game.
In this picture, the little girl with the pigtails and the brown top with the bow on front is Tina, a born in game Imaginary Friend. She was born to my Sim Sally and her father is an Imaginary Friend turned real.

I still have to give her a makeover, she's in the clothes, skin and hair the game gave her when she aged up to child. She did that while living in a household I wasn't actively playing at the time.

She has a big half brother named Harry. Harry also inherited the Imaginary Friend trait at birth and now he's a teen he can take doll form when he wants to. I don't know if Tina can or not yet as I never tried to get Harry to do that when he was a child.
This is Harry when he was a toddler - at that point I still had a lot to learn about Imaginary Friends. I don't think I realised he had the trait at this stage.

Both Harry and Tina have their own Imaginary Friend dolls that they got in the mail when they were born.
This is Bob and Kitty Koffi. Bob was the Imaginary Friend of Percy Koffi who is a son of Gobias Koffi. Percy turned Bob real and Bob has lived as another sim in town ever since. He married Haley and they had Harry togther but Haley ran off with another Sim and they were divorsed. Bob raised Harry and, although I rarely played their household I often saw them around town together. He seemed to be a very attentive father.

The game matched him up with Kitty and they are devoted to each other. Tina happened because I have mods and I gave Sally an instant baby when Bob refused to have anything to do with her.
Bot and Kitty have now got a toddler daughter of their own but she doesn't have the Imaginary Friend trait.

He only does that when I tell him to do it and I only do it for fun occasionally so I almost never see him looking like this.
Bob is at level 10 in the Ghost Hunter career.
