Custom Downloaded Sims (downloaded from the internet) are not Appearing in the game??? Help!!

I'd like to provide a bit of information. I'm a MAJOR avengers fan. So naturally since I like playing with genetics, I thought it would be fun to download the avengers sims, put them in my sims 3 game and play with the genetics. So I install the sims through the launcher, and the installer tells me I'm good to go. I always check the installed section of the launcher, and I see the sims there. But when I go into the game, and go to the pre-set sims area in the CAS, I can't find all the sims I downloaded.

When I leave the game and go back to the installed section of the launcher, the sims are no longer there! They're in the downloaded section, but not in the installed section!

I'd appreciate any help! I'm getting frustrated! I wanted to do a sims 3 avengers playthrough :( The sims that i'm having no issues installing are Thor, Bruce and Clint. The sims I'm having issues installing are Natasha, Steve and Tony :(

    A lot of times this issue happens if the sims are corrupt. If you post a link to the sims I'll check them out for you. If you want the steps to walk through to check them yourself I'll post those instructions separately.

    @ZeeGee I'd appreciate it if you'd check for me! I'm not good at learning this kinda stuff! The Avengers I'm using are HERE. The second three work fine. The first three are giving me problems (Captain America. Black Widow. Tony Stark (Iron Man)). The sim files should be labelled when you unzip the folder.

    When I installed the sims3packs the same thing happened. Only 5 of them showed up. And the 3 that were missing did not have a SavedSim file show up where it should. So I found two solutions:

    1) Put the sim file included with the Avengers package in the SavedSim file. Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > SavedSims

    or

    2) (if you want the cc) Use the extractor to extract the sim file and put it in your Mods folder (assuming you have a mods folder?). The sim will then show up in CAS with all cc.
