I guess what I was talking about is more of a "spring-cleaning" of the thread. Ways to make it more helpful, easier to find info, streamline it. I only mentioned it to see if people who use the thread thinks it would be useful to do so. We are up to almost 500 pages. I don't know what the new EA forums will look like and we know that any uploaded images, videos, or GIFs will not be migrated over. URL's will be migrated, so that is helpful. But do all of the URL's still work? Again, I am only asking if people think this needs to be done, not saying that it should be done.
@rnramey - I agree that a thread that is 500 pages can have a lot of information that is hard to find. I created this thread because we agreed the previous DD thread, which hit 1000 pages, was too large. I believe our host also left the forums. With our current thread, I have tried to keep updating the first page to add new information and link to certain posts within this thread.
After we received the news about the forum being replaced, I was reviewing the first page. There is information that can be deleted that I kept for history sake such as the section on Bonus Ad Points. I had hidden it with a spoiler code a while ago, but at this point with bonus ad points so far in the past, I think it can be deleted.
I would suggest that we wait until the new forum opens. I have no idea what editing a thread will be like in the new forums. I have nominated many of the threads that are linked on page 1 of this thread, so those should still open. If we find that this thread does not work well in the new forum, we can create a new one. We could make a lot of edits to the first few posts.
