thank you that's interesting. I don't think its a problem for me though since the game was working fine for years without turning off UAC, and only just started acting up. Actually, the game works fine without the mods so its something else I think.
What I did today, I took out the old Sims 3 folder, and allowed the game to create an entirely new folder.
The launcher came up & I hit the button to start the game, however, the game didn't start. I just had this black screen that was
hard to get out of. If I hit the windows desktop key, nothing happened.
I had to finally shut the computer off, to get it out of that black screen & restart the computer, not a good thing I know, but nothing else would work.
When I finally got the computer up and running again, quasi normally, (its real slow and that's another issue entirely) I put the old Sims 3 folder back in without the mods and started Origin, then started the game.
The game started normal, nothing notable, and I started playing Claire Ursine. I am playing her now, and my intention is to get her to travel somewhere, either a WA world, or Uni. She has a wish to go to Uni and back to the future.
Does back to the future count as a travel experience ? I would think that it would, but not for sure.
Any who going to get her to travel somewhere to see what happens. I feel so naked and useless without my mods, since I've been playing the game for years with them, but I'll make do for this test.
I remember before putting the mods in my game, around 2012 or so, we had problems with our Sims traveling and that was one of the reasons why I started using mods.
It may take a while for me to get her to travel though, because she keeps getting nauseous and vomiting. I will try to make it happen soon though.
Until then, I have nothing else to report.
