now Origin has a new terms & conditions reminding all the game is "as is" we use it at our own risk, they collect information including machine ID numbers and ip, we only are licensed to use the software, and they can discontinue the account anytime they want.
hope this wasn't for my benefit.
don't mean to be a complainer but Origin is like a ball & chain around my neck. It's extremely cumbersome to have to sign in everytime
we want to play & it requires lots of updates.
So worried if I update what may break. Will be so disappointed if can't play Sims 3 anymore.
Sims 4 is an okay game, but like Sims 3 better.
Seems I'd better continue to not buy any more games from them in future. They charge way too much for something they want to cut us off from at any time. If it were free then I wouldn't have a problem - it would just be a disappointment. But if it is something I've paid hundreds of dollars for I would be extremely not happy if they made an executive decision to just block us from continuing to use it.
me either !
Especially since I've been trying to do this thing where all the Sims I've played & maxed out I want to put together in one town
to see who chooses who as a mate & watch them live their lives.
The fact that they chose to re-iterate how they can discontinue a persons account at any time really disturbs me.
And that fact that we can't delete our account with them disturbs me as well.
I really don't like the tone they are setting.
