This was the first family I ever played with in The Sims 3 was based on an RP I used to do on a Zetaboards forum back in the day. There was Keira, the very crazy mother who was erratic and pretty much all over the place, but at the end of the day, loved her children. She was pretty much a hippie. Keith was her husband, he was a gritty southern cowboy type who loved the outdoors, and was pretty sick of Keira's attitude - she was no longer the woman he fell in love with anymore. They broke up pretty fast and Keith went off to do his own thing. Then there were their kids. The twins, Karoline, she was a hopeless romantic artistic, with dreams of true love that always failed (you'll see). Her twin brother, Kaleb, was kinda nerdy and geeky. Then there was their little brother, a child called Kayden, who was sporty and looked up to his dad. And yes, their names all began with K. It was a thing I did a lot, name entire families beginning with one letter. This was before the Kardashians were big, too.
We started in the terrible one bedroom starter home in Sunset Valley, and eventually Karoline's side of the family built up to having a huge mansion with a worth of over 300,000 by gen 3. (I was terrible at building houses back then, I was 14, don't judge, lol)

Keira was an incredible chef and got to the top of her career. She married a woman called Patricia Mays after Keith left her, who was my character in the original RP. Both she and Keira were poly - before I really knew what being poly was. They were fine with having relationships with other people, and they never had more kids together. Keira basically lived forever and never died. She lived until like 110 days or something on normal lifespan, and I've never seen a sim live that long to date? She very nearly outlived her older kids. It got to a point where I just wanted her to die. I uploaded the following screenshot with the tagline "is she ever going to die?"

And she always haunted my house once she did, and would play on my PC.

Patricia was kind of a floozy and flighty, who loved to party, drink and have fun - but I like characters like that, I love the Caliente sisters. Her ex husband was a Japanese man called Kuro (literally dark/black in Japanese, lol) because at the time I was a teen going through a huge anime phase. Patricia was themed after the color white, and Kuro after the color black. They were opposites, so to speak. They had 3 children Nichibotsu (sunset), Umi (Sea/Ocean) and Kitty.
Keith, I basically abandoned. I have simply no idea what happened to him, as I didn't really touch him after that.
Kayden grew up to marry Bebe Hart, who was much older than him. This being my first family, I had no idea she was a teen becoming almost adult at the start of the save file, so she died whilst he was still an adult. But they spent their entire lives together and never had children. But they were sweet, and Kayden became a star athlete.
Kaleb adopted a couple of kids, and never married. His kids were called Rick (named after Rick Astley - Rick Roll was still fairly common in 09) and Pat (named after his step mother).
Karoline had a ton of partners, and many many kids. Her first husband was Gin, based on Silver from Pokemon (my first ever game crush... I thought he was a girl when I was younger though), and her kid with him was called MacKenzie. I got bored of Gin, even though he never really did anything wrong in retrospect, Karoline dumped him in favor of Wolff Coates, who was meant to be a werewolf but this was before Supernatural. They had twins - Winter and Rayne. Winter Coates. Rayne Coates. Yes, I can do puns too, Maxis. Wolff was very aggressive and violent in my story as well as creepy, and her cheated on her with Patricia, her own step mom, so they broke up.

She then dated a normal guy for once called Kevin. Who was just kind of terrible in general. They broke up after having 2 kids Pollyanna and Paula. I was obsessed with Earthbound at the time, as I'd just found out about it due to playing Smash Bros Brawl, and so this came up a lot in this family. Paula was named after Paula from Earthbound, and Pollyanna is the name of one of the music tracks from Earthbound Beginnings (at the time, known as Earthbound Zero).
I then put her with a joke character I made - Porki Doki, who had a brother called Perki, based on Porky and Picky Minch also from Earthbound. Their names match their appearance and personality, so you can imagine, and they had 2 kids together Loki and Yoki. They broke up when I realised that was kind of weird.
And in the end, Karoline got with an elf, Elrin, who I recently remade in The Sims 4 and gave more of a background story. They had a daughter called Myriani, and they stayed together until Karoline died.
It kind of gets fuzzy after first gen. I know I played Rick, Kaleb's son, until death, as I remember very vividly him getting old and becoming a rock star. At that point, I kind of stopped taking screenshots and recording everything I was doing. I also remember Rick having a daughter with pink hair, but I can't for the life of me remember who the mother was. There's also a bunch of babies and toddlers in these screenshots that I don't remember anymore. I wasn't all that invested anymore as all my originals and most of their children were dead at this point, and then I eventually left the file to collect dust by the time Late Night came out.

I'd love to make a family this extensive and dense again, but I lack the willpower to stick in one save file anymore. By the time Late Night came out, I fixed up Patricia and put her in Bridgeport to party down, as she was basically a self-insert from the get go, but I didn't stick to her, and remade young Keira too. It was basically a prequel.
