- SolitaryBeingSeasoned NoviceChanged a few of the settings around, scaled speed on my current age span and let it run for a while.
Already got some Sims moving out into better households, a sheer ton of employment going on and a few relationship changes! ;) - Stand back everyone! (oh wait, too late we didn't get the warning in time) ;)
The employment swaps should calm down soon enough. SP likes to align sims' careers with their traits, LifeTime Wishes, and who in town is in need of co-workers and bosses. EA's way can be much more random. The relationship changes, well the stability of those depends on the sims and the world being played. - SolitaryBeingSeasoned NoviceYeah, seems to be mostly promotions now which I can turn off anyway if it gets too annoying.
Seems as though one of my inactive family members found herself a new fling and a gay couple announced their pregnancy.
This definitely feels a lot more alive and engaging compared to EA SP. - I started slowly with mods, but now I have a bunch and I love them :)
Glad youre having fun with story progression, I cant imagine playing without it! - SolitaryBeingSeasoned NoviceThis sounds about right as I've had notifications of foreign sims "dying of old age" too.
Thank you for clarifying. - I have wanted to use several of the mods from Nraas. I need to make the time to do this. They look like a lot of fun and seem to add some cool things to the game.
#needmoretime# - I started with learning how to tune and configure it in a throwaway save and use my own settings for legacies in custom worlds.I tried playing with the EA bugfest and it just about always broke saves with Error 12's,teen pregnancies and other disasters that glitched out saves or it just overpopulated the town so badly that the save became unplayable or had children taken by social workers which led to corruption in those ones.I've had to use the NRaas version of story progression and it's been active in my games for years now.I've not had any teen pregnacies or overpopulation issues with this story progression as I banned the teens from TFB or woohoo and I couldn't control that without using Mods.I also once had a toddler able to do romatic interactions with his mum in a corrupted save.It was the one where adults got toddler and pet interactions before they died.
- SolitaryBeingSeasoned NoviceI'm having a lot of fun with this mod so far.
@igazor is there any particular reason why Sims from vacation worlds tend to age up twice skipping the teenage life stage?
I noticed this was happening in my SP notifications (and daily story overview notification) and I'm a little confused. - @UnseenHorizon - Not sure I'm understanding this completely, correct me if I'm going off in the wrong direction here.
You are using Traveler? There is an option that needs to be set on each homeworld you play that dictates whether sims in foreign worlds age or not while these worlds are not being played.
NRaas > Traveler > Ageless Foreign Sims
If set to False, sims in the foreign worlds will increment their age by +1 each sim day at midnight. They don't really age up or progress that way, SP has nothing to do with foreign worlds directly as they are in a state of suspended animation. But the next time these sims are simulated, either by transitioning to their worlds or inviting them over for a visit, their incremented ages will catch up to them.
In the meantime, the foreign sim data held in the TravelDB file can get out of sync with reality and SP can spout incorrect reports on them. More common are impending death notices of foreign sims who are not really dying of old age or who have already died. These are best to be ignored and the sims dealt with as we wish the next time we see them actively simulated.
If you are not using Traveler, then this would be the game doing whatever it wants with WA world demographics and SP is just trying to report on it all. - I've been having fun with Evermore Falls and it's got a small population though that will begin to change as they enter into the new year and they'll also be starting to build onto their homew more in the warmer seasons.Story progression is also keeping them from getting pregnancies before I'm ready to start that up.
