Food Dish Glitch

I told one of my Sims to get a leftover grilled cheese sandwich from the refrigerator. So, my Sim takes it out and sits down at the table but then they start holding the dish up and eating it with their face instead of picking it up. At first I was thinking why are they eating that with their face and then I realized that my Sim was eating a leftover bowl of grilled cheese baby food instead of the sandwich which I thought was kind of funny but then the bowl of grilled cheese baby food stuck to my Sims hand and doesn't seem to want to come off. It looks weird especially when my Sim is eating a plate of food with the hand that has a bowl on it. When I put the cursor over it it shows what the food is and if I click on it there is the option to clean up and my Sim went to the dish washer and opened it like they were putting dishes in the dishwasher but the bowl did not come off my Sims hand. I'm not sure if the bowl will eventually decide to come off by itself or if my Sim will live the rest of their Sim life with a bowl of grilled cheese baby food stuck to their hand. It seems to be a minor glitch so I'm probably not going to go great lengths to get rid of it but if anyone had a similar glitch do you know a way to get a dish unstuck from a Sims hand?
