Does anyone know how to fix the free will problems on the sims 3, My free will setting is set to the high in the in game settings but my sims will still constantly sit around and not do anything unless they are given actions to do, I have tried multiple things to try and fix this problem but nothing seems to be working as of now.

Mine sims are very busy and happy when I actually give them free will. I have a hard time keeping up with them. I do direct them at times but they happily garden or paint or write or read books, go to town or one of the local lounges, or drive me bonkers putting the kids in the crib, out of the crib etc. I dunno why yours don't.

Mine do not. I get wishes to visit clubs, or parks, or to go shopping, but they don't actually get in the car and go unless I tell them to go.

Well, I guess you can push them to visit community lots autonomously if you have the option set on NRaas Story Progression. But without mods, they won't.

By any chance your sims don't own a dog do they?

Your Sims actually go out on the town by themselves? Mine do not. I get wishes to visit clubs, or parks, or to go shopping, but they don't actually get in the car and go unless I tell them to go.

They own 2 large dogs, making a new game seems to have fixed it a little bit now, it may of been my older game save

Two large dogs, and do you have bathtubs in the house so you can bath them? If so try putting the bathtubs in the family inventory until you're ready to bath them.For some odd reason I get this issue if I own dogs and have the bathtubs.

I’ve tried that but it didn’t seem to work it seems to be working alot better on a new game save, this started happening after I aged 2 of my sims up to teenagers.

They don’t go out to town by themselves unless I get them to do, they used to stand around the house and not do anything but now they seem to do things by themselves but sometimes it will take them a while to do things on their own

I didn't think sims could leave the home lot unless you told them to.
