- First you need to make a wish to free the genie. When prompted, you'll need to put the lamp in the fridge, then in the oven and then take the lamp to the mausoleum. When you come out of the building rub the lamp again and your genie should be free.

I have started the wish, but it won't let me freeze my lamp...why?
Did you get the opportunity? When you select free genie as your wish you will get a opportunity pop up to accept to freeze the lamp.
If your special opportunity slot is taken already then the wish will just cancel and nothing will happen.- I have a female genie I would like to know also, she is kinda cute.
- SylviaBrNew SpectatorThanks for the help! I completely skipped over the Free Genie wish, lol!
- It is a funny process to free the genie.

Aha, thank you very much for this post! :D I was thinking my lamp was glitched. My sim has no luck with "real" sims so she's romantically involved with her genie. The wish to free the genie kept disappearing...thanks again! - bshag4lvSeasoned Adventurerdp, sorry.
- Somehow my first lamp disappeared when my family moved to their new house (it wasn't in anyone's inventory), so I had to get another lamp -- fortunately this time I got a female genie so my single male Sim can marry her once she's free (got to get the relationship level up first -- he'd just introduced himself when he had to run off to do some Sing-A-Grams).
