Game Freezes but Animations Continue
Okay, I've given up! I've tried every single option out there that I've read! I updated all of my mods. I thought maybe installing Overwatch and Errortrap would help but they didn't. It still freezes!...

The game does reset in the launcher and you would have to readjust your game settings. This happens every time you update the video card. You can try pulling your sims 3 file before updating the video card, then put the file back. Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3. Pull that sims 3 file to desktop and put it back after you up date your video card. Hopefully your launcher won't reset.
Your still going to have issues if you don't add more ram to your computer. You cant mix ram sticks and your computer is old so replacing your ram would be a good idea. Buying 2 ram sticks of 4gb each of same make and model. They sometimes sell them in a two pack. You would need to check your mother board for the correct ram. If you don't know how to replace the ram I suggest going to a computer expert for computer upgrade advice
