Since it's not brought up yet, I'd also like to recommend ellacharmed's world fixes to lessen the lags in the worlds. It requires the player to start with a new game though so if you already have saves, I think they wouldn't be playable, or would still use the old laggy world. (Not sure on that last part! xD)
