Good Sims 3 store worlds?

I managed to have all store worlds, and here's my personal opinion:

Lucky Palms wins. It has a great amount of empty lots, cool neighbors and room for other expansions.

Aurora Skies is my second choice, besides the lack of more room.

Dragon Valley is my third, since it's beautiful. However, you end up with a bunch of elves. Maybe Monte Vista is better, but I got more involved with Dragon Valley, that's why it's better for me.

I didn't have much experience in Midnight Hollow, Roaring Heights and Lunar Lakes

Sunlit Tides has a bunch of micro lots. I hate that because I can't add several buildings I always use (I have to rebuild a bunch of micro lots or some huge stuff, it's not really balanced). Hidden Springs was a bug-fest for me. Barnacle Bay is sort of bland for me.

I'd suggest checking some videos on youtube about the neighborhoods. I've got them all because I did want it, but nowadays, I've got only Lucky Palms installed.

I ageee with barnacle bay being bland.Sunlit tides is pretty to look at but not much space I like roaring heights as it has a downtown and outskirts of the city.But I mostly okay Custom worlds so I can’t say on the others

Ok, thanks for the suggestions. Lucky Palms sounds good too. I guess it’d just be best to download a few and then decide...

If you only buy one, I'd suggest Lucky Palms. I love the casino items and I've put the run down buildings in the old part of town in a few different worlds I've played in. It's also a fantastic vacation spot if you use Nraas traveler mod. If you didn't know already, LP and the casino will come up for sale on the daily deal from time to time. Are you familiar with this thread?

Performance is also a primary concern for me. I've had to stop playing games in certain towns when the issues became too much. Pulls me out of the game to have to deal with the technical issues along the way. The two towns that you mentioned actually run rather well on my machine with Twinbrook being a third. It's a pretty common consensus that SV runs better than the other EA towns.

If you do consider the custom content route, I'd recommend Mesa Grande by aaronrogers8i3. No town, EA town or otherwise, has run as well as Mesa Grande has for me. If you're interested, the most recent version is 1.5 and can be found here. I'm not able to find a thread on the sim3 forums for the 1.5 release but this thread for the 1.4 release is still good for links to the seasons and ambitions lots he built for it. This town requires CC, I'm using it without any problems and it's easy to install.

Thank you for posting Mesa Grande, I never heard of it before, and just took a peak.It looks really pretty!
I love playing custom worlds and always want a variety to choose from.

It looks like that I'm a bit late to this thread, but that would probably be appropriate since I just reinstalled TS3 today. :D

I hope you enjoy Lucky Palms, @Lucy_Henley it really is a great world. I also am lucky enough to own all the store worlds too, but my favorite is definitely Aurora Skies. It plays well, nice layout, really nice premade families, and it's just beautiful. Almost all of my legacies end up there. So, if you're still looking to purchase more worlds that would be my suggestion for your next one.

Also, thank you posting about Mesa Grande @Satanu_Reeves I've also never heard of it and just downloaded it. I've only been playing TS4 for awhile, but I guess I got nostalgic over the Christmas break and just reinstalled TS3 with all of it's EPs, SPs, and store stuff. :)

Since this is a store world thread, I like Lucky Palms and Monte Vista.
But I play mostly in lots of lovely custom worlds.

I'd reccomend these ones:

- Aurora Skies: Although it isn't huge, this town is very different to the others, in a good way. It has an amazing icelandic feel to it, with the northern lights. The detail and effort into this world is great.

- Lucky Palms: A great amount of space to play in; versitile with different styles of buildings.

One thing is...I don't think Barnacle Bay is worth the price. Although I love the fact it's an island and I appreciate the effort making this world. There's not enough to make it stand out.
