Greenhouse Directions Please?

I have the greenhouse set. The description suggests that it means you can grow produce during winter. I haven't been able to figure out how to build it for that purpose. In some instances, or maybe all, I can't remember, the game didn't let me plant anything inside it once it was a full enclosure. So does anyone have a tutorial on how to build the greenhouse, what to do with all of the pieces and how, and how to get it to enable planting inside of it, and for that to prevent the plants from going dormant in the winter, just like they used to in The Sims 2? Without cheats or mods? If it is only with cheats and mods then what was the point of it besides looking like a greenhouse?

    For your greenhouse to function like an indoor space so the plants don't go dormant in winter, it needs to have full walls, floors, ceilings (which would simply be flooring placed at the top of your top floor that disappears when you place the greenhouse roof pieces on top of it). Inside, you can place planter bowls (one comes with the set; some others with Supernatural) or the ITF soil rugs, which allow you to plant indoors without cheats. You actually don't have to have a greenhouse at all to plant this way; you could plant the garden in your sims' house if you wanted. So, which pieces from the greenhouse set you use doesn't really matter. There are a lot of ways you could put one together depending on what size and shape you want. I would suggest looking at the venue greenhouse to see how they connected the roof pieces to get some ideas.
