I've had this problem too btw even though I do have overwatch. For me it was the seasons bug and turning off winter, spring and fall made sure it didn't happen again. I had to dispose of all the plants that didn't produce anymore though. On the other hand these plants were already super old and should've died already anyways so it wasn't a big problem to me. I didn't mind turning off winter fall and spring anyways since it was limiting my gardening too much and i didn't feel like building a greenhouse.
