Has anyone ever tried registering the same game twice on TS3 website?

I am asking this weird question because Sims 3 is on sale on Steam now, and I can buy the base game for roughly $3.6 (converted from my currency so for you it'll probably still be $5) And since $3.6 is so much cheaper than €7 which is the price for 1000 simpoints on Origin, I was thinking of getting a few copies of TS3 on Steam and register their CD keys on my current account despite having the base game already registered there. Could this be possible?

    I think someone on the forum managed to do this two or three times (the codes were from Amazon though) a while back, but I can't find the thread right know. So it's possible, but personally I'm not sure if this is such a good idea.

    @berginon I actually have FIVE, yes FIVE, different base game keys on my account (long story). And that's not including my Steam install. So yes, it's possible.
